Remotivated

I am officially remotivated to be on good behavior. My inconsistency over the weekend (although WORTH it!) really put me in a tough spot, especially mentally. People don't really talk about the mental toughness it takes to consistently deny oneself treats or even overindulge on portions of healthy foods. It just got to be too much and the dam broke. Now, since I had that break, I think I can be more consistent again. Plus, we are taking a vacation and bikinis are in the stores now, and I am motivated to look and feel my best for that!

    Sometimes you need a "bad" weekend to appreciate and refocus on the "good." I plan on being VERY BAD this weekend...although I know it will feel darn good. :-)

Overall ate healthfully, and had treats:4 glasses of champagne (~300 cals) , chocolate chips(~350) , and soy ice cream(~600 cals)!!! heaven!!! was hubby's b-day so great day to celebrate and let my hair down. kind of "treated" myself out, and won't want any goodies for a good long while now. think i may even do some extra cardio/HIIT tomorrow, since today's TKD was pretty low-key. Think I had about a 500 cal surplus today, so okay overall for the week with about a 1000 cal deficit.

    I'm noticing a pattern on my free days. Each one I'm eating relatively less and less "bad" food. I too feel like I get all my goodies in so that I'm good to go for a week! I'm so glad you finally gave in a had an indulgant free day! You deserve it!!! Back on track tomorrow, right?

Braces are in the house. Got Blue/Orange ties to support da Bears in their Super Bowl bid :) but that is the only fun thing about these braces. Yeeouch! I will be glad when the initial shock to my teeth softens. Can still eat relatively well, but have to really overcook my veggies to make them soft enough. No celery or baby carrots for a bit, which I already really miss! Treated myself to a serving of hubby's soy "chocolate decadence" ice cream but still have had a really healthy day, coming in at 1408 cals ~~21 ww points. Hope I can still eat solid foods tomorrow--think that will be the worst day.

Bad news for me--went thru braces 2 years ago, and am going to have to repeat the process on the lowers. Playing the violin placed uneven pressure on the jaw and my lower teeth are all slanting sideways, really messing up my bite. Already chipped one of my lowers on the uppers.

Good thing I found a nutrition shake I really like right now, cuz eating for the next few days is going to be a real pain. Also sux with hubby's b-day coming Sat, will NOT be feeling too sexy.
