November has come. November has gone. Where did it go. Seems like just yesterday I was out trick or treating. Now it's Christmas time. Time to think about the goals I made this month and the progress or lack there of from my adventures in ChaLean Extreme. I knew the holiday was at the end of the month so I made my November goals simple and easy to obtain, or so I thought. Turns out I lost some things and gained others. But first let's go over my goals, they were as follows:
1.Lose a mere four pounds to get into the 180's. WILL DISCUSS IN FURTHER DETAIL BELOW but here's a hint
2. Complete CLX Burn phase w/o missing a workout- ACCOMPLISHED
3. Schedule and complete my workouts in WOWY w/ my newfound BAWD's (Hi Sherry, Hi Casey!) ACCOMPLISHED
1. No eating after 9pm- Hmph! Hmph! Cough! Cough!
2. Water! Water! Water! At least eight glasses a day. Phew, is it hot in here? I am thirsteee!
Sooo, about the four pounds... I guess it's easy to assess that i didn't lose the four pounds. I didn't. I kept at it with the workouts but gained a couple of times and had to regroup in order to lose it back. So my weight remains the same as it was Nov 1st. Why didn't I lose it? Well let's just look at my goals for the month and tell me if you see a pattern. Worked out? Check. Logged workouts and kept it going with the help of my buddies? Check. Stopped eating after 9pm? Yes, but by 10pm I was back at it. LOL. How about the water quota? Didn't do so well either. So there you have it boyz and gurls. Here s what I gained in the month of November and it doesn't equate to pounds. I gained the knowledge that you can bust your pa ta ta's exercising all you want but you still gotta lay down the foundation with your eating habits. Nutrition is just as important if not more important that exercise. Those bone heads weren't lying when they said it's about 85 percent nutrition that determines your weight loss success. I just had to learn that the hard way.
So what did I lose you ask. I didn't really lose weight. Your right, I didn't lose weight. But I DID LOST INCHES. A total of 7 inches to be exact! Thanx Chalene. Here are my 30 day Chalene results below:
Bust Then: 40 Bust Now: 38 LOST 2 INCHES
Waist Then: 36 Waist Now: 33 LOST 3 INCHES
Hips Then: 49 Hips Now: 48.5 LOST .5 INCHES
Abductors Then: 47 Abductors Now: 45.5 LOST 1.5 INCHES
R. Thigh Then: 25 R. Thigh Now: 25 NO LOST
L. Thigh Then: 25 L. Thigh Now: 24.5 LOST .5 INCH - Great, I am officially lopsided
Biceps L/R Then: 12 Biceps Now: 12 NO LOSS OR GAIN
So there it is in writing. I didn't lose any weight but I lost a decent amount of inches. My clothes aren't falling off (yet) but they are loosening and my figure is a little less "volatile" to me. So there it is folks. I plan to kick into high gear with the Push phase so more great results are coming up. This has been a long blog. I know what my December goals are but I will save those for tomorrow. Wish me luck on this crazy ride called a lifestyle change and good luck and best wishes to you all as well. Cuz lose or gain WE ARE ALL SPARKALICIOUS BABES!

If there is one thing I did accomplish in the month of November and can be proud of is the fact that I did the entire ChaLean Extreme 30 day Burn phase without missing one workout. I'm not gonna meet my weight loss goals for the month but damn it I killed the workouts. I didn't let anything stand in my way. I planned Saturday workouts 6 in the morning to avoid the house traffic and my little one stopping me every few minutes because working out is hard as it is without constant interuptions. And guess what I plan to do the same with the Push phase. So far this week things were good. I even got up at 7am Thanksgiving morning and did both required workout dvds for day before anyone else turned in their bed.
So what's the problem. Well after I did the workout I got on the pc to log my info in WOWY and SP. I head a sound from the tv behind me and then I noticed no sound coming from the tv. I look back and the tv is dead! 60 something inch plasma hdtv, poof, gone like that. Luckily my brother in law had an extended warranty on it and can get it fixed or replaced. But what do I do in the meantime? I planned to use our big screen tv which is in the livingroom till we get our new place. I hate exercising with people in the room (self conscious) or coming in or out (distracting) so I planned to get up real early this morning, about 6 ish and workout in there. Plan to do so at 5:30 every workday morning as I already do but in the livingroom and not the family room. I made a plan B and felt good about it.
Well I get up at 6 to workout and my insomniatic sister in law is watching tv in the livingroom. LOL, she's not really an insomniac, she does stay up late but this morning she planned to go shopping early for Black Friday. She didn't realize she had her car trunk open since Wednesday when she last used the car and the battery was dead. She was waiting for her husband to wake up to give her a jump. SHE'S IN THE LIVINGROOM! I CAN'T WORKOUT! WHAT AM I GOING TO DO? I was sooo upset I was going to miss a workout. Okay, okay. Calm down. Make a Plan C, make a Plan C. I went back to bed, went out a little later and got my hubby's bday present (its tomorrow), came home, kicked my son out of his room, used his PS2 and BAM! Plan C is born. I did Push Circuit workout. Wasn't much room but luckily with that workout it's all stationary and standing except pushup at the end. I made it work.
So glad I didn't panic. Glad I didn't give up. When things didn't go as planned, I came up with plan b. When plan b was put to the test, plan c was conceived and executed. Things will be a little uncomfortable till the tv is fixed but I will just have to work with what I got. I will be pushing through the Push phase as planned!

Happy Thanksgiving Spark People! Hello..... Hello.... HELLO! Is there anybody in here today? I know a lot are celebrating with families but to some this is just another day as it is an american holiday. Well for those who are in Sparkland I would like to say I thankful to all my spark friends and all the spark people I have come in contact with the last few months. You have made me laugh, smile and cry. You have made me happy with your stories and feel empowered by your actions and words. I am so thankful to have found Sparkpeople. It is truly a blessing.
How did you do on your turkey day? I decided that just because it is a holiday it doesn't mean I am on holiday from my lifestyle. I woke up a little after 7am and did Burn Intervals and Ab Burner. I love both of those workouts. I look forward to Thursday because of them and I think it was a blessing to have such a workout on Thanksgiving. I then ate oatmeal with a scoop of whey protein added. I actually liked it better. Yum! I still ate mini meals until the big meal. I ate a little of everything but not entirely everything. I didn't get seconds. I did get seconds of sweet potato pie, that is a weakness of mine. But considering there is sweet potato pie, apple pie AND peach cobbler, I think I handled myself pretty good. BTW, I made the peach cobbler using splenda instead of sugar. I will try a piece tomorrow and report back on how it taste. If it good and anyone wants the recipe let me know. Luckily for the me the food was good but not great so I think I will do pretty well not getting seconds or feasting next few days. I wanted to make the mac and cheese but one of my sister in law's wanted to and I am glad she did. It was good but it wasn't mine (hee hee). If it were mine or mom or one of my sisiter;s I probably would've slaughtered it by now. It was just good but when you apply WIWM it wasn't good enough. BTW WIWM means what I want more.
Well I just wanted to stick with routine and keep sparking and do a blog. I wanted to blog yesterday but was too tired and didn't get a chance. Once again, enjoy the holiday.I said not to be a turkey and spark today. That means, as much as you can, do as you always do on your journey to good health and well being. Exercise. Watch your portions. Log on to Spark and do your daily duties, get those spark points. So if you are reading this and it's Thanksgiving you did just that. I am proud of you. Keep up the good work.
HAVE A SPARKALICIOUS THANKSGIVING DAY! GOBBLE GOBBLE!!!!!!!!!!! (that turkey is for you Casey, get him out the fridge, he misses you!

Whew! It's lunch time and I already feel it. All jokes aside I felt it in my biceps when I was brushing my teeth this morning. Yikes! I started Push a couple days early. I am actually only on day 29. I started early because I didn't want to start on Wednesday. That means from this point on I would have two rest days during the week and I didn't want that. I like working out every morning before work during the week, with a Turbo Jam workout on the one scheduled "rest day" in the week, then getting my Burn It Up/Recharge in early Sat morning and resting on Sunday.
I went to Walmart last night to take back those retched resistance bands and buy some weights. I like bands, just not for this workout. I already have a pair in storage so I didn't really need these if I wasn't going to use them. I planned to buy some 12 pounders since my BAWD CCFETT said 10 probably wouldn't be enough and I had already been thinking that as well. They didn't have 12 pound so I purchased 15 pounds. Whoah mamma! During my workouts it didn't feel too bad but by the time I had to brush my teeth I felt it. I got up at work and felt like I was nine months pregnant again the way I slowly rose from my chair. Massage anyone?
Anywho, anyone who reads my blogs know I have been having a devil at a time with the nutrition side lately but today, so far so good. Still having issues w/ water. J.O.B did a major increase in hiring and we are too big for this building. HR reps are handling business in the lowly breakroom and I can't get to the cooler. That has been the major problem with me getting water is that someone is always monopolizing the BR. Doing great with food: Cottage cheese with fruit for breakfast, protein bar for a snack and Caesar salad made with 3 cups romaine, 3 tbs parmesan, 2 tbs red fat caesar vinagrette dressing and five lonely whole grain croutons. Determined to keep the mindless and/or emotional eating in check. Planned on added the fitness and nutrition tracker on my spark page but can't remember where I saw to add it (hint hint). Maybe I'll figure it out. But long story short, I am determined to stay on track. Gotta put post its or something all over the place WIWM (What I Want More), can't take credit for that one though, props go to Chalene J. for that wonderful accronym.
Well here we are in push and that's just what I plan to do. Taking pics but don't know when I can post them since I still have my pc and camera stuff in storage. I didn't take pics until two weeks into Burn so I doubt there would be much change anyway, especially with my food struggles. Will do measurements and body fat tomorrow though. Pictures in 60 days, oh I can't wait because there will be major changes, I guarantee that. I am back on a mission!
