Back but missed so much.....

Well I am back, our nephew passed away and I was gone for a lil over two weeks. I missed out on the biggest loser contest, but thats OK. Getting myself to stay on track is so easier at home, I have learned. For two weeks we stayed in Motels and ate out ALL the time ( I stayed away from their breakfast ). Yep I had me some whataburger, they dont sell it up north!!! So I took advantage back home. Though I stayed away from the "snack" foods and whenever I could, I ordered chicken, fish and shrimp. I swimmed a lot and walked, so I got me some exercise in. These next couple of summer months I will really be melting the fat!!! To treat myself for losing the weight and graduating from Nursing school, I am going on a cruise in two years! So lets melt some fat!!!!

Just sitting here reading success stories and one just stuck out. In her success story she mentioned she had no idea she was "big" when looking in the mirror. I have that same scenerio too LOL When I see myself, I do not see myself as fat. In fact I mentioned to my husband the other night, how I dont look big in the mirror but darn those pictures! Must be the camera, I need to have it checked LOL

Here is a laugh for you :
About a month ago, coming back from a long trip late at night, my husband and I headed to the room for sleep. About an hour before we got home, we stopped to grab coffee and yep I grabbed a snickers. So anyway, the Hubby was in bed and right as I lie down, my side of the bed crashed to the floor. LOL The room was silent. The only words I could say was ... I guess I should have not ate that snickers!!! It was another hour before we fell asleep because the hubby could not stop laughing!!!!

    LOL geesh what a good sport! I know what you mean. I can't believe what I see when I look at a picture. And mirrors? I just avoid them.

So yep I got off track and grabbed me a coke today and while I am sitting here drinking it- out of boredom I might add - I am going thru the security cameras at work and my BUTT is big. I dont even want a before pic ...... In the trash this coke goes!!! Exercise! Excercise! 123 go! and drink lots of water!

    COKE IS MY MAJOR PROBLEM. I HAVEN'T HAD ONE IN MONTHS - GAVE IT UP FOR LENT - BUT I DO GET TIRED OF WATER! GOOD FOR YOU! "MY BUTT IS TOO BIG" LOL

Logging what I eat .....

Logging what I eat everyday is really helping me about my food choices. Some of the stuff I enter though, for instance a ribeye steak, I only had like 5 bites ( I put .4 of a serving), so I am sure that is not almost 500 calories. But it shows me that red meat is not always good for you. I knew this, but seeing it on logs helps. And also - STAY AWAY from tater tots and french fries :-)

    lol, yes...stay away from tater tots & french fries. :)

I found a food scale helped me get more accurate measurements then guessing based on bites. 500 Cal for 5 bites seems high, even for steak.

Logging everything DOES help!
