BLC 24 SMART Goals

My goals for this round are

1. Exercise at least 3 times a week, up to 6 times a week
2. Increase freggie intake by adding salads to dinners with a veggie
3. Eliminate dinner starches, allow only occasional exceptions
4. Restrict sweets to Saturdays and Sundays

    YEY!!! Another crazy person!! I am on Month 2 and still catching my breath daily. Mopping of your sweat will be part of your duties. Soreness is a constant thing.

I am sure you will see progress!

Reflect-The first 6 weeks of BLC 22

The first half of this round was up and down. I did my best to stay on track with fitness and nutrition and even lost 2 lbs at the beginning of the round. Then, I began to eat way more sweets than I should and was snacking late night with SO. This resulted in a 3.4lb gain in week 6. That really shook me up and now I'm fully focused and prepared for the journey ahead. Shopping for bathing suits to wear on my honeymoon next year has been a great motivator as well emoticon Here's to the next 6 weeks being much, much better than the first.     Unlimited sweets and late night snacking are just emoticon

Do you use the SP Nutrition tracker? That will really help you see what you are eating and help you to plan! You want to be absolutely stunning on your wedding day!!

What's on my mind

-I need to find my way out of this rut I'm stuck in. I'm hoping starting running and yoga will help

-Can't wait to hit the pavement tomorrow! Starting out with a 1.5m run

-My long term assignment ends on Friday. I'm going to miss those little guys.

-I changed my goal weight. Again. It's 140. Again.

-This time change has my children all out of whack.

    You're not the only one...recommit to a healthy life one day at a time. Plan your workouts and don't let anything stop you from getting it done. Be diligent about tracking your food and staying in range. And of course get back to chatting with the team and finding support.

    I've hit that rut too. It's tough but you can push through this. I find switching things up really helps.

Holy Plateau, Batman

Ah, the dreaded plateau. I've been at 184 for 3 weeks now despite my efforts and I'm finally learning how to let go. I'm remembering that my healthy habits are forever, not just to make the number on the scale go down. I'm remembering that there is going to be a point when the scale isn't going to move down anymore, and eating well and exercising is what is going to keep it from moving up. I'm remembering to be proud of what I've already accomplished, and to love my body in all its glorious imperfection right now at 184 lbs. I've learned so many important lessons while sitting at this plateau that I'm actually glad that I had the opportunity to reach one. emoticon

    Aliyah, try a week of carb cycling, eat at the high end of your range one day and drop to the low end the next. If you're doing the same workout routine try changing it up. Our bodies adjust to the same old routines all the time, we need to keep them guessing what's coming next so they cannot adapt.
