Hi Everyone! I just thought I would do a weekly update on my goals. I have been keeping track on what is working and what is not. So I think I am going to revise a couple of my goals.
1. Walk 10 mins a day
2. Put make-up on 5 days out of the week
3. comb my hair everyday
4. Call a friend 3 times a week
5. Make to-do lists before bed every night
6. Do a work out video 3 times a week
7. Log onto SparkPeople daily
8. Write a Blog entry 3 times a week
9. Play with and cuddle my dogs 10-15 mins a day
10. Be a Happy Mommy
My Progress the past week
1. I walked 4 times for fitness
2. I put make up on 5 times
3. combed my hair everyday
4. called 3 friends
5. made to-lists 5 times
6. Did zero workout videos
7. Logged onto SP everyday
8. Wrote 3 Blog entries
9. Quality time with my dogs everyday
10. Enjoyed special moments with Greyson everyday
I did way better this week then I did last week. I am proud of my progress and hope that next weeks update will be better. I am just going to keep striving to improve my daily habits. As I would sit down every night and think about my day I see at this point in time there is no way I can do the workout video 3 times a week. I don't want to let go of that goal completely so I am going to shot for doing a workout video once a week. I just feel too overwhelmed thinking about trying to do it 3 times a week that I am not doing it at all. So maybe I can trick myself and think "I can do it, I only have to do it once." I hope it works, you know what I am positive it will work. We will see on my next update or maybe I will be so excited it will be my status one day!
I read somewhere that it takes approximately 21 days to form a new habit so I decided that in 21 days I will revise my goals. I will include things like walking for 15 mins a day and meal planning. I don't know yet but I will work on them. I am also going to take the advice of SP member MICHSTATE and create a reward system. I think that is just the motivation I need, presents to myself, yay! Thanks again MICHSTATE for the idea. I will post a blog entry when I decide on the reward/penalty system.
