It Is Coming Together!

Tuesday, June 19, 2012

So far it looks like about seven people have confirmed they are coming to my soirée on Thursday night this week...and I am launching my Miracle Diva on Friday night...she is responsible to send to send out invites and confirm RSVPs - that will be her first test of whether she will be successful I think.

It is sometimes tricky to explain to people why they would want to attend an event because they don't know what to expect...but I am seeing from the gym that the word is spreading. Now I have people asking me to invite them! Someone was suggesting I should charge for the invite...that sounds weird to me - but I do use spa quality products on each guest and they do leave with an incredible facial. However, that sounds tacky to me so I don't think I would do it. Nearly everyone orders product so it really isn't necessary to even think about it.

But I do seem to be hitting my stride with the gym guests..at each of my classes I get phone and email info from one person and over the course of about a week I have enough people for another party. Works out well...and it is a great way for everyone to get to know each other,

In that way...it is coming together! My gym membership is paying dividends not only with my health but also financially...so cool! And my customers couldn't be happier!

Miracle Diva

Sunday, June 17, 2012

Next week I am launching a new, special, Diva into my business. She is a very sweet lady who was invited by another guest to my last facial event for Beauty Society. She called me after the event and wanted to meet to discuss starting her own business with the company. I am always anxious to grow my team, so of course we met right away.

At the meeting she explained that she had been in a horrible car accident years back and that she had been in a coma for nearly a year and in a wheelchair for many years. She has many issues as a result of this and suffers from a lot of short term memory loss. After hearing this I was both filled with exhilaration and dread. I am sure she can be very successful at this business as it will be hers and she can put her full attention into it. Clearly she has a strong resolve or she would not have recovered so well. But I was also concerned with how much she will forget and how well she will be able to function at the parties...Divas need to be able to present the products well enough to help guests understand the benefits of the various...many many product. I hope she can handle this without too many customer service issues.

Overall though I am very excited for her and happy to launch her onto my team and a successful business. If she can do this it proves just how reproducible the training system is. She says she is going to videotape me and watch the video as training...I am up for it!

And so I have my Miracle Diva!

Sounds like she is a winner, no matter what. Amazing to come thru all she has. She has to have figured out ways to cope with her challenges and I bet she will on this also.

Company With A Conscience!

Saturday, June 16, 2012

Wow! I am feeling so good about my association with Beauty Society today! I joined the company a few months ago...despite a very demanding full time professional job- because I truly felt almost what you could call a 'calling' to spread the word about their incredible skincare and makeup line. I love that it is organic, natural, paraben and sulfate free, that they offers 100%money back guarantee up to a full year and that they offers great refill program.

But I also loved their association with Women for Women and their true desire to give Back to and support women in many ways...it really tied to my volunteer work with Soroptimists. So when I asked them to help with a woman I met at a facial event on Thurs night who was facing chemo treatment for breast cancer and they agreed to send her a free gift box of product ... Well, my decision to be a part of this company grew10 fold!

I am a very very busy woman so time is short and the parties do take time. But knowing that this company is such a good citizen and really does walk the walk. So to say, really makes me want to continue to spread the word.

Not to mention I firmly believe that the products have no rival!

Another Fun Party - With A Newly Diagnosed Cancer Patient

Friday, June 15, 2012

Last night I helped out one of my Divas by presenting at her party - she launched herself - believe it or not last week as I had a conflict and her guests were all Spanish speaking - which posed a major problem for me - as I don't speak Spanish! Last night, though, all the ladies were lovely and we had a wonderful time together.

One of the ladies is just beginning chemotherapy for breast cancer - so sad - and I was happy to be able to tell her how natural and healthy all of our products are. She had to go and think about what she wants to do in terms of ordering but I do hope that she will select a few items - it will help her feel pretty as she goes through the ravages of fighting the disease. I have to wonder if perhaps the parabens and sulfates in the products she's using could have triggered the breast cancer. One never knows!

I am going to call the corporate office and ask if there is anything that they have in place to help people like her. Perhaps there is something that they can do...I know they donate the Enormous Lash product to women who have lost their eyelashes and brows after treatment. Maybe getting ahead of it would help? I don't know?

It is always so fun to meet new ladies and share the facial and make over experience with them - I just love Beauty Society!

Update - Wow! They are sending out a complimentary care package to this customer as a surprise -- it is not a 'program' per se but just something nice they agreed to do for her. I am so pleased! Can't wait to hear her reaction when she receives her products!

Beauty Society is sooooo NOT MK...not even close!! It kills me when I hear the comparison...it just makes me want people to come to my events all the more!

Such incredible products AND am company with a conscience....that is why I love them!

That was wonderful (of them and YOU)!

It's a striking contrast to a story about MK taking away a pink car from someone in breast cancer treatment!

How very nice of the company to do that. I'm sure it will life her spirits, and who knows, maybe she'll decide she HAS to have something or other and order it. : )

Bridge of Honor

Thursday, June 14, 2012

Tonight was the award ceremony for my DS's Sea Mariners group...they had a competition in San Francisco over Memorial Day and it went very well. The team competed super well and are clearly good friends. My son it very glad to be part of this group...he is proud of his accomplishments. It was good to see. Him smiling so much with his friends...we. Don't often see him that happy at home...probably because we are usually nagging him about homework or something else annoying to a teenager.

I was glad to have been able to attend the ceremony!

Congratulations to your son. The teenage years are hard but sounds like he gets to do a lot of extra curricular activities. Enjoy him while you can-they grow up so fast.
