So I have been out of sorts due to the fact my oldest/babysitter moved out. I have not been to the gym in a couple-few months. I'm feeling bad that I can't work out like I want to. So today I tried Tai-Chi. Just the basics, how to stand, posture, etc. Tomorrow I will actually do the full video. If that doesn't work, I am going for yoga. At least I will be doing something. Trying to figure out what to do with my child so I can go to the gym in the mornings. I just need to keep active!

You need not go to the gym to exercise. Sparkpeople, YouTube, FitSugar (to name a few) have some great quick routines that can be done virtually anywhere with little to no equipment. And, no matter what the exercise, all can be done at beginner level if you are new to it or recovering from an injury, etc.


No Excuses.
JUST DO IT.

Quiet.....

My child has been at camp since Sunday. About a month ago my older child moved out. So the house has been quiet, too quiet. I miss my kids. My older one doesn't call or visit and I miss her a lot. The little one is having a great time at Girl Scout camp. She will be coming home Saturday. I can't wait to squeeze her and hear all about camp. I haven't been pushing myself with my workouts, but have been walking instead of driving to places like the store. Hurry up Saturday!

Still not losing weight, but maintaining the weight I'm at now. At least I'm not gaining. I sure hope I can get back to the gym soon. My little one will be at camp in a week. I will spend that week at the gym. Every time I miss her I will head to the gym. Oooh that's a good idea!

Day at the beach

I took three kids to Goat Rock beach yesterday. We had a great time. My cousin's kid even declared it "The Best Day Ever". But when I got home and looked through the pictures, I was horrified! I look like a refrigerator with legs! I have lost some weight in the past couple of months, but not as much as I thought (looks-wise).I do not look the same in pictures as I do in the mirror. I know that I do not see what my body really looks like, it has always been that way. I don't feel like the person in this picture. I will not stay this way! I will feel better and stronger. I won't be carrying an extra person around for much longer! I am going to do this NOW.

No sitter = No gym

So my oldest moved out this weekend and I don't have a sitter anymore. That means no gym. I am in a panic. What am I going to do? I have lots of other ways to work out, but the gym works best for me. Now I wish my gym had daycare.

    Your gym doesn't have a daycare? That's a bummer. Mine had one - for that I am glad. Hopefully something will work out so you can still go.

Fortunately - my dh also worked next to my gym. At times - I would go during his lunch break and he would take the kids to the park and eat.
