Ok, day 2 of working out with my DH, done. Here is what we did today:

Squats with Barbell Sets: 4 Reps: 10 Weight: 15lbs
Forward Lunges Sets: 4 Reps: 10 Weight: 0
Stationary Lunges with Barbell Sets: 4 Reps: 10 Weight: 0
Calf Raises on Step Sets: 2 Reps: 20 Weight 5lbs

I have so much practicing to do. My body does not know how to do what I want it to. The Forward Lunges and the Stationary Lunges have me at my wits end!

I watched the little animation, my DH helped try explaining and helping me do them. My legs just couldn't seem to get it right. We ended up doing a modified fencing lunge and my DH helped me balance for the stationary ones.

Yes, I cried. I feel awful about how totally inept in am and frustrated that I am not doing them as well (proper form) as I should be. But..... It is only day 2, I have no background in physical fitness, so I am starting from the ground up. It will get better. I just can't give up on my and I hope my DH doesn't if I cry again.

I am off to drink some more water and check on my 4 little angels. Baby Catherine has been coughing on and off most of the evening in her sleep. It seems to be just a tickle in her throat at least and not a big deep chest cough.

I feel so good tonight!

I actually did a good workout my hubby, Jason found some good dumbbell workouts and we did them together. He with his 25lb weights and me with my 5lb weights.

We did:

Dumbbell Crunches Sets: 2 Reps: 20
Dumbbell Side Bends Sets: 3 Reps: 15
Bent Over Rows with Band Sets: 4 Reps: 10
One-Arm Dumbbell Rows Sets: 4 Reps: 10
Dead Lifts with Dumbbells Sets: 8 Reps: 10

So I am cheating and copying the post I made on my SC page. But it about sums up my day and I haven't the energy to re-type it all now.

Missed a whole day on here. Logged in this AM to see what was new and to do my SC visualization. I just got back on the computer now to log my meals and water, then went to finish my SC homework for the day; only to find it was a different visualization than this morning.....What??? Oh wait it was 12:02am, it is not tomorrow. Drat. Well, what did I get done today?

Woke up had coffee.
Got big kids ready for school
Took more cold and sinus medication
Drank water
Stole 2tsp of dd2's corn flakes (oops forgot to log that) emoticon
Put laundry in wash
Had shower
Made a ham wrap for lunch
Went to kids school for parent lunch and math fun
Went shopping
Packed in groceries (looked at sidewalk, decided the neighbour could shovel today)
Made supper,
Finished 1 load of laundry
Did dishes
Sat and watched DH surf the net
Sat and watched DH do shoulder flys with 25lb weights
Moved laundry from washer to dryer.
Rocked sick baby back to sleep.

OK...so I didn't do a "work out" but I must have burnt calories somewhere along the way today.

I love red wine. Enough said... too much the last couple days. Now I am catching the (whatever randon illness) my big kids have brought home. TIRED!!!!!! fever, chills....Tired.

One whole week done. Am I proud of how I did? Not really, but it could have been worse.

I did really well during the week, I kept up with my tracking, got some workouts in, and did very well with my water intake.

Then came the weekend....Had bacon and french toast for breakfast with my family, then got started on some major house cleaning to get ready for my 2 year olds birthday party. The party was small but my house was in C.H.A.O.S. (anyone who follows the Fly Lady knows what this means) Can't Have Anyone Over Syndrome. So I didn't do my workouts, didn't drink my water and then had 3-4 glasses of beer to unwind. Needless to say I gained back one of the 2 lbs that I had lost. So here I am starting over this week.

I am really considering that gym membership, but then when I look at all my other bills, I see where my money could be put to more financially responsible use. I will talk it over with my hubby when he gets home tonight. I've had gym memberships before (thinking that if I pay the money I will be more apt to actually go) but I only use them for the first week or two and then life seems to get in the way and before I know it the membership has expired and it's been 2-3 weeks since the last time I went. Pretty big waste of money emoticon
