If you flub a presentation at work or cut your workout short, don't beat yourself up over it. People think they need to be self-critical to motivate themselves, but research shows the opposite is true. Women who go easier on themselves are more likely to exercise to feel good as opposed to look good, and they're more likely to stick with it, too.
Treat yourself as you'd treat a friend. You'd never say to a pal "You're going to get fired" or "You're so lazy", so don't say it to yourself!
