Two men were out hunting when they accidentally dropped their rifles over a cliff. Just then, they spotted a bear coming toward them. They scurried up a tree, but the bear started to follow them up. Perched on a branch, the first guy took off his hiking boots and put on running shoes. “What are you doing?” demanded his friend.

“When the bear gets close, we’ll jump down and make a run for it.”

“Are you nuts? We can’t outrun a bear!”
