All it takes is all you got.

Fast and steady, always ready.

No matter how your walk or run goes, you're already lapping everyone on the couch.

If you truly want to succeed, stop being so judgmental about yourself. Just do what you can in the moment.

So true - we need to do the best we can, not make excuses and just get on with it. I'll always have another pound to lose, a new wrinkle or gray hair - but all in all, it's helpful to have a healthy love for yourself - it can balance all the ups & downs life throws us!

Calories

How many calories a day does one really need?

Eleven per pound if you spend 2 hours or less a week in the gym, and 12 if you work out for 3 to 4 hours or have a physically active job, according to the director of nutrition at the California Health & Longevity Institute.

But if you want to slim down, run the equation using your ideal weight. You'll probably find that the difference is just 150 to 300 extra calories a day.

Doing exercise that you enjoy makes it much easier to stick with a program, and it doesn't seem like exercise when you enjoy what you're doing.

Food is NOT your friend

Sunday, May 27, 2012

Food is fuel and we should use it for its intended purpose.

That does not mean you can't enjoy eating - just remember why you are eating in the first place.
