This morning, I got to ask myself this question after a dear friend responded to my last post about gadgets. My response to the question of having too many gadgets was:
".......In respect of gadgets, as far as my healthy lifestyle is concerned, I don't believe I can have too many. The success I have achieved so far on this journey have been majorly because of the gadgets at my disposal. My phone Apps, Pedometer, and iPad are so indispensable to me!!!! People spend huge sums of money buying clothes, make-up, cars, and other stuff. My priority is ME and my health is Number 1. What do you think?"
After the response, I started pondering. My wish list for Christmas were all gadgets or exercise related stuff like walking/ running shoes, active wears, and a Mini iPad. These are all things targeted towards my continued healthy living in 2013. It now occurred to me that if I win a lottery today, my first thought would be exercise related. That is a good thing right?
This time last year, I was busy stocking my house with ridiculously (at least now I consider them to be) fattening foods and drinks towards Christmas. Today, I am consciously picking healthy foods, not just for me but my family too. What a way to have come in a year.
My summary on this is, you can't invest too much in or have too many gadgets on this journey. This is a lifestyle change and everything and anything that can support should be accessed, as long as you can afford it and it pleases you!
My prayer this morning is, "Dear Lord, you know I have been Nice this year; taking extra good of your Temple. Please Father, send me Christmas gifts that I desire. The ones that would help me better take care of this beautiful gift that You have given me to care for. Top on my list is an iPad Mini and a Size 11W Adidas Vigor 3 TR Shoes. I also wouldn't mind a Fitbit Aria Wi-Fi Smart Scale. These are in addition to that special request that you are already working on. Thanks so much Father. From your loving daughter Femi".
So how is that for a Christmas request?!!!!
Thanks for reading this.
Peace and Love!!!
Remain blessed!!!!

So I gotme the Fitbit Zip and I have been so enjoying it. The size is a major attraction and being able to sync it with my PC, waiting for the phone, is a plus. To be sure that it is giving me the correct information; I have been using it along with my Omron Pedometer. The difference between them is negligible. My daughter wondered aloud, why I was "decorating" myself with so many gadgets. Well, I simply told her "Anything to get rid of this fat, anything love". So my gadgets and I are together, doing well together, and achieving great results together. Woo Hoo!!!!

To the glory of God, I arrived safely from my trip to Dallas. It was a great experience. I am also up-to-date with my classes and seriously working on my project, due by wednesday.
This week has been an exciting one. With 2lbs loss I am so happy and motivated. I decided to give myself a treat today by buying some colorful active wears, all medium size! What a journey from 2x. I actually found that some of the M-Size pants are loose. I will however keep them since exercise pants don't need to snug. Here am I talking about size M being loose. Who would have thought it was possible. To further challenge myself, I got a size 12 gown for Christmas. I will comfortably fit into in by 25th. I will share the picture too. Yes, from size 22 to 12, in one year is a great accomplishment and I am so proud of me!!!!!
Thanks everyone who supported me with prayers last week. Your prayers are being answered and the stress of school work is lessened. By His grace, the academic part of my Doctoral program is ending on Wednesday. I will take my Comprehensive exams in January and then move to the Dissertation phase. Yes, our God is so good and beautiful in my situation!
I love you all.
I am sharing one of my Dallas pictures with you. Have a most blessed week!

I would like to express my gratitude to everyone who said a prayer on my behalf. Our Lord has started His work in my life and I know He will perfect every thing.
God bless you all.

Today is almost over and I am still busy on my studying but I decided to do a quick post. I am in the last week of this term at school and under some pressure that I can barely define. I have two projects due by Sunday (midnight Central time) and I have to travel to Dallas on Friday to facilitate a course, and back on Saturday. For the past few days, I have barely had 4 hours of sleep daily. My children keep saying they are worried about me.
I am also worried about me but know that I need to keep going on. I am trusting the Lord to see me through. If I can hold on till Wednesday, then I can have a deserved rest till January 7, 2013. Just one more week of this pressure. Please Father help!!!!
I have found my physical wel-l being to be a positive force in holding on. I am energized and unlike before, I am alert and barely feel tired. This is a good thing and a motivator to keep active. I can do this, yes I can, by His grace.
Please pray along with me on these four point:
1. For continued strength to cope with this remaining 1-week pressure.
2. For wisdom, knowledge and understanding in packaging excellent course projects.
3. For journey mercies to and fro Dallas.
4. For safe keeping of my children when I travel.
Thanks everyone. God bless us all!!!
