Starting to live healthy was all I set out to do when I joined Sparkpeople. These past five months have however, brought remarkable changes in certain unexpected part of my life. Ordinarily, I am an introvert and I deal with situations inwardly. For example, if I am going through a seriously stressful situation, I deal with it by crying, burying myself in bed, and eating.
Recently, in fact within the last four weeks, I have had to deal with some terribly stressful issues. The worst I have ever had or could remember. To my pleasant surprise, I have been dealing with the issues by walking and running. The first thing that comes to mind is to get out of the house. I walk and as I go on, my mind clears out, I am able to strategize on possible solutions.
I have really changed, the real me would have given up on my healthy eating and exercise because of the prevailing situation. I am glad to see that the tougher the issues, the more focused I am at exercising.
I am so glad!!!!!!!!
Engaging in physical activities is a great way to deal with stress. It is not a solution that I sought but one that came naturally. I am glad about my journey so far.
This tremendous change in my life is an indication of how the efforts I am making is positively impacting me as a person.
I am totally happy.
