So my journey started on Friday at about 10.05am (PT) from Sacramento Airport (CA). I had a 2hr stopover at LA and a 5hr-45mins flight from LA to New York. My trips to Canada are so much shorter!!! I however went prepared. I dressed up in my walking clothes and shoes, making it for me to log over 3,000steps in my stopover at LA. So the new travel mode is "Dress in your workout cloths". Not only are they comfortable, they are super motivating!!!!
I was also prepared nutrition wise. I had two ziplocs of my home made mixed trail very handy as snack.
1/2 cup of lighlty salted Roasted Almonds
1/2cup of dried raisin
1cup of Honey nut Cheerios
2 servings of stick pretzels (About 96 sticks)
I then divided this into two bags for the tw0-way journey. I had 2 boiled eggs, 2 Apples, and 2-80gram slices of my home baked 100% whole wheat Flat Bread. I must not forget my little plastic jar of Peanut Butter. I got this tiny cups with cover at Walmart; a Pack of 4 for $1.00.
Armed with my own food and snack, I was more comfortable. The only thing lacking was water. i did not get as much water as I would have love to. Buying water at an Airport is one of the most frustrating things for me. A 16.9oz of water for almost $3, is just too frustrating!!!! I however didn't have any choice but to buy and drink. I wish there was a way to get my water along with me, but we all know it is not possible, so I had to reluctantly buy water at such prohibitive cost
The program itself was a huge success and feedback from the course evaluation forms showed that it Excellent. All glory be to God!
I got back to Sacramento early this morning and couldn't make it to Church but I have this peace in me and am so glad that my Lord is with me in all things. So I am back home and I need to start a new phase in my journey. I had some deep thought and realize that I need to set new goals, or maybe not new goals but new ways to achieve my set goals. i am trusting God to help me remain focused and articulate the most appropriate activities to engage in. I love to run but my motivation has been waning recently. I want to be on top of my physical activities because that is my main issue not eating.
So, pray along with me dear friends, to find that balance that I need to succeed.
Thanks for reading.
Have a glorious week
