Wow, what a great year so far!
First, the For Dummies book, "Service Chain Optimization for Dummies" was released (http://www.clicksoftware.com/sco4dummies if you want to see it!). I was a contributor and was surpised to see that I was actually listed under "Acknowledgements." You better believe that's going on the resume!
I made it to the gym on Weds, Thurs and Saturday. Great start and I'm slightly sore all over. Now that I did the warmup/basics, I'm ready to kick it into high gear. Woohoo!

2010...what a great year it'll be. I even like saying it: 20-10.
The theme for 2010: be healthier, happier and wiser. Not just for myself, but for the world. I can't wait to encourage my friends, colleagues, friends, and strangers to achieve their lofty goals and look for little ways to help make them happier. I'll be greener for the environment and for my own health.
I will continue to...
- step outside of my comfort zone and try new things.
- pay down my debt (grad school sure was expensive!).
- target events (endurance or races?...not sure which yet) which will challenge what I think are my physical and mental limits.
- learn from my mistakes.
- not take life too seriously.
2010: healthier, happier, and wiser.
Happy new year!

Oops, I did it again. I procrastinated on scheduling Spring tune ups and now everyone is busy. My b/f and I brought our bicycles into our local bike shop and he'll have them ready for us...in almost 2 weeks from now! What???
Can't wait to schedule my motorcycle this week.

Woohoo! Today I got a friend excited for fitness.
AW (name withheld) and I walk our dogs together in the morning. We've only been friends for a couple months now, but she strikes me as the active, outdoorsy type. Today she talked about how her husband and her are perceived that way, but they really aren't. So during our 45 minute walk/hike we talked about road cycling and cycling trips, hiking, kayaking, and getting her a free 1-week pass to my gym so she can try working out with another g/f and I. Now AW's so excited and she's calling me her life coach. I have to admit that I'm excited and it's exactly the type of thing that motivates me since I now need to set a good example. Can't wait for AW to start with us next week.
- Gym time and morning dog walk (done)
- Buy only healthy foods at the grocery store (done)
- Reorganize holiday inventory from my retail business
- Drink 8 glasses of water
