I went a little over my calorie max today. It was my daughter's 5th birthday and we went out to eat. I ordered smart, but I did eat some chips and hot sauce and a few bites of the birthday treat they brought my daughter. Oh well, tomorrow will be better. I've done well all week so I think it was OK to splurge a little today. Can you believe I just said that? This plan must really be working because I don't feel like I've ruined my diet. Why? Well, because I don't feel like I'm on a diet. I don't feel deprived, anything can fit into my plan if I work the program and plan ahead. I've learned to portion things out in advance, and measure, measure, measure. I need to get back into the exercise habit, but once my job (I'm a teacher) gets back into full swing I am sure I can start working everything back in.

WOW! I really blew it today. I can't even tell you how many calories I went over so I'm not going to enter it today. Tomorrow is a new day and hopefully I will still lose some weight at weigh in on Tuesday. Fingers are crossed!

Thanks for the comments on my previous blog. Your encouragement really helps.

You have made such great progress that I know you can just get back on track tomorrow. I hope you don't mind, but I added you as a friend since I really think you are doing great and I can learn a lot from you.
Good luck for Tuesday!

Blowing it once in a while is OK. Just pick yourself up and start a new day. Good luck. You can do it.

Hanging on

Thursday, August 16, 2007

I feel like I'm at a weight stand still. I am really afraid that I won't see a weight loss this week. I've been exercising, but not like I want, too lazy I guess. I'm really worried about starting back to school on Monday. I think I've started thinking about it too much and put myself into a funk. I hope I can get through this and increase my exercise and keep my calories low.

You can DO IT. You motivate the orange team every day in the huddle. It can be hard, but if you have been reading messages here on SP and the articles you have the knowledge on what to do. The hard part is actually doing it. But we are all strong and it may take a bit of time and step by step we can do it.

You can keep up the good work. Take your water with you, and plan for your snacks. You can do it!!

OK, so after church my husband decided to stop by Sonic and grab lunch for everyone. Fine -- I figured, I'll get the regular hamburger (I was hungry and the JR wasn't gonna do it.), it's more calories than I want for a meal, but it won't hurt me once in a while. We get home I eat my burger, everything is fine -- until I start to clean the table -- I ate the remnants of each kid's corn dog, a mozzarella cheese stick, and a few tator tots! Why?????? I don't know!!!! I was FULL, but I couldn't help myself! I am still under my calorie max, but Supper will be small.

exercise motivation

Wednesday, August 01, 2007

I have found myself to be unmotivated to exercise the last week or so. My problem is that when I try to do a video the kids want to "do it with me" -- hence getting in the way, or they want to crawl all over me. So, unless they are asleep, it is hard to do a video. (I am really into YBB so it stinks to not get to do it frequently) I refuse to do a video in front of my husband, (I know it sounds silly) so evenings are out also. I have ave been using the treadmill more lately, but I get bored. Once again I can't use it when the kids are up because I am scared they will lose a finger or something! I have been getting in exercise of some form everyday, but I am afraid I am going to fall off the wagon. Maybe just posting my fear here will help motivate me to kick it up a notch. Also, maybe the weather will improve and the kids and I can get outside more.

Yes, I too have been struggling even getting anything in. It's been a couple weeks and only about 200 minutes TOTAL. I really haven't done anything in the last 10 days. I know what you mean about the kids and getting up early. on Occasion I can get a bit in at night though. Do the kids take naps? and yes getting outside does help as well, but it's hard when it's 90+ (here in MI all week) Keep trying, anything is better than 0 like me.
