MPR1 Day #05 Lost 1kg, Yay!

Friday, August 27, 2010

Friday, August 27, 2010

Not much activities today, lots of sitting and the infrequent trips to scanner. Must be starting to slack off after got the good news - lost 1 kg since I last Friday, now 54kg and hope started to go down instead of back up again emoticon Must be because I eat enough and the fitness training that I just restarted this week emoticon

I wore my silver grey-dark blue Baju Kebaya (google what is Baju Kebaya, hehe) and tried the shimmer silver and bronze eye shadows and got compliments for my attire and makeup, both from guys (they are married but I still accepted with big grin). The good thing working among guys, not too much girls around to compare, to make me feel intimidated and making me feel I wear wrong clothes, wrong makeup, wrong body shape (unless they compare me with their girlfriend/fiancee/wife/family which entirely different thing, haha.)

Bonus: I successfully rejected the temptation to stay at my bedroom, read romance book or just snoozing, so instead I helped my mother with breaking fast preparation emoticon But I get defeated at last when I "accidently" felt asleep after my Maghrib prayer, haha.

I always wanted to keep some portion to eat later but from the look of my mom's face, didn't want to 1)get long lecture how I don't eat too much for my blood (wonder where did she get that, hehe) and 2)see her disappointed face of not finishing what she cooked. Next time we have rice, I'll eat lesser, I suppose doing workout somehow make the stomach easily say no-no to overload emoticon

MPR1 Day #04 1st Strength Training While Fasting

Friday, August 27, 2010

Thursday, August 26, 2010

Such a good day, had good night rest, I rarely felt the dizzy and I finally did my strength training in this month, also first in fasting month, Ramadhan emoticon Jumped on emoticon for warm up and 1 minute emoticon and I was ready for strength training. My aims - not to over-do as I was still fasting and need to control my movements, get the right position and postures. And gosh, felt like I haven't done any strength training for months - which nearly true! Got aches at my abs everytime I lean backward, the front upper thighs when I walked, shoulders and upper ribs all the time, haven't felt this kind of aches for long, long time, haha. Afterward, I jump rope again and on elliptical for cool down and both felt more sluggish compare to what I did before strength training. Even stretching felt like a hard work!
- Crunches on ball - not too satisfying as the ball needed more air! But I did fell the "pressure" on my abs, did 10 reps.
- Modified pushup - managed to do 5 rep slowly and I tried to do as low as I can, might be only 5", haha.
- Forward lunges - I think I somehow did lateral lunges but with one foot in front of the other, instead of sideways. Did 10 reps for each leg.
- Bicycle crunches - my favourite abs workout, this time I did slowlier than usual and I only did 10 reps, instead of minimum 15 as I normally did.
- Superman - held that position in 15 counts and imagined myself flying with the new Superman, haha.

Had non-rice supper for fasting, very few times can have meals like this in Ramadhan. Drank mixed carrot fruit juice, 3 dates and fried instant noodles with cabbage and a hard boiled egg. Enough to sustain me throughout the day, especially I managed to finish 1 litre of water before fasting period start emoticon Breaking my fast with fruit dishes - carrot juice (leftover from previous day), nyummy dates and mouth-watering watermelon. Dinner, rice with cooked long-bean and mackerel cooked in chillies sauce.

Bonus: Just happy to finally did my strength training, even though struggling the cardio afterwards!

Dream Journal - Wednesday, Aug 25, 2010

Thursday, August 26, 2010

Even though I've good night rest, I still had a weird dream, not sure if it's out of my secret fantasy or just plain ol' nightmare, haha.

I was visiting an offshore rig when suddenly I was captured by one mysterious guy - handsome in a quirky, frightening way. Trapped in hidden compartment with my hands tied at back, I couldn't do anything. Then, somehow (maybe my dream was fast-forward, haha) I escaped and tried to find others on the rig for help. But the rig was empty, it was just me alone!

My theory, I dream this after I read an almost similar situation to one character in a book, just before I went to sleep (good thing I didn't read someone get murdered, *shiver). Offshore rig, probably because during work, my colleague suggested I visit the rig to see the operation. Anyway, it was such an adventurous dream emoticon

MPR1 Day #03 Aches, Need More Sleep!

Thursday, August 26, 2010

Wednesday, August 25, 2010

Woke up that morning with sudden cramp at my left calf, had to endure the early torture for ages (actually, just few minutes, haha) before I finally could roll out from bed - still have aches everytime I flex my leg. My first though, need to go to office earlier so that I can take a short break to make my Visa for Hajj. Unfortunately, after Sahur (meal at pre-dawn to prepare onself for fasting at day) and Subuh prayer, my head felt so heavy, barely could open my eyes. Didn't think it wil be safe for me to drive 30-minutes to office so had short nap ... turned out to be 2 hours sleep! emoticon Felt guilty went to work later than usual but it was such a relief that my head was clear out of sleepy fog and my father send me to office, instead of me driving . emoticon

Sahur was almost same as dinner on previous day - rice, fried fish and cooked veggie. Enough to last me the whole day fasting, hehe. And breaking fast aka dinner with one of my favourite food - Roti John, 2 long bread with minced and mix of beef, egg and mayonaise and also with chili sauce, nyummy! Also had carrot juice (bought and didn't taste like carrot emoticon) and dates (Mom got them from the bank after transaction, too dried and hard for my liking but still taste OK). Unfortunately, I just had to struggle to finish my 2 litres for the day, 3/4 litre at pre-dawn and the rest at night.

No workout for today although I planned to do 2 minutes on elliptical, 1 minute jump rope, maybe 1 set for each upper, core and lower body workout then end with 2 minutes elliptical. Came home quite late, nearly time for breaking fast. So, next day, Thursday, I'll do what I plan, need to sneak go back home early, haha (I came to office very early, so no guilt feeling!)

Bonus: Sleep earlier, much earlier than usual - at 21:30hrs! And when woke up on next day, few minutes before my alarm went off at 04:00hrs so I guess I had enough sleep, about 6 and half hours, my head wasn't feeling cottony or fuzzy and the body felt like I got 80% of full rest!

MPR1 Day #02 Seafood & Skin Care

Wednesday, August 25, 2010

Tuesday, August 24, 2010

Still got aches from previous day's workout, maybe I was still weak from whatever cause my current situation. Hope next month come ASAP, hehe.

As I still in "Hide & Eat" mode, I cooked my most favourite laziest dishes - omelet with potatoes. Just cut the potatoes into small cubes, fried them then pour the beaten eggs (I used 2 eggs and 2 large potatoes) and served as my lunch together with one big banana emoticon. I wish I had bread so that I can made tuna sandwiches. Back home, for dinner, had rice, fried fish, prawn curry and cooked veggie, a very satisified meal, haha. Forgot to eat the diced papaya, though, huhu.

Night, I was so sleepy and tired and didn't know what the main cause. Crash in earlier than previous night. Yet, somehow I managed to do quick anti-blemish mask, one of my new fast breaks - taking care of my facial skin emoticon

Bonus: Nearly reach 10 glasses of water, better luck in future!
