I went to church this morning. They had one of the special services they have during the year. Debbie Milligan from Healing Wings Ministries was there. She does mainly a singing ministry, but also a message and she goes all over the country ministering to people. Most of the music she does is something that she wrote. We always enjoy when she comes.

Later I came and got Cassie and went to meet Spark Team members at the park for a walk around the park. It was a nice, sunny day.

I try and try, but for what?

Wednesday, May 08, 2013

I just cannot see any hope anymore. I survived the cancer, but the radiation has affected me so that I cannot go back to work outside the house. I am lucky if I can go outside the house without major problems. So I cannot pay my bills. I have not been buying anything but necessities and I have nothing left on credit and no money. I have been told to move from the house I grew up in to government subsidized housing, but I had a friend there (in this town) who was beaten almost to death when she tried to do her laundry. The cops wouldn't do a thing about it. What point is there in conquering cancer and trying to get my health back when I face moving to a place where all I can do is sit inside the locked apartment in fear and never do anything again. Every month I face the bills I cannot pay. Before I had something I could borrow from, but no more. There isn't anything left in that account to borrow from. NOTHING! I don't know what to do anymore.

It's no wonder you're depressed. I don't know all the details of your situation, but I assume you're receiving, or have applied for, disability or SSI? Perhaps your case worker can help you find some more resources. Have you called? Perhaps there are some resources you just aren't aware of. Meanwhile, I'm thinking of you every day and sending good thoughts your way.

I don't know, either, what to tell you to fix your problem since mine are similar. I just wanted to say that I am sorry about your pain. I would call the community social services place or contact someone from elder services (depending on your age) or your church, or ask friends for ideas on where to go in your community to get ideas for help. Life really sucks sometimes, I know, but hang on to all that you have. God bless you.

It was the doctor. I have already contacted Human Services. They have taken away half my medical help and part of the food stamps. If I had known I would end up like this and unable to go back to work at all I would not have had the surgery and treatments to get rid of the cancer. I did not want to die, but this is not really living.

is that Social Services that told you to move, or just some random people? it is past time to contact the welfare department local office. your hospital can help, since they will have to provide you with paperwork.

Some exercising can be a problem

Wednesday, May 01, 2013

Today one of my teams started May challenge. For this I chose to do the squats and also am trying to do reverse crunches (challenge also has a choice for crunches or squats). Now those reverse crunches can be a problem. You see, I have a dog, Cassie. Cassie loves people. Those reverse crunches are just too tempting for her since I am on the floor. So she just couldn't resist to get her nose in my face and ears. I did get some reverse crunches done, but I wasn't exactly in the right position because I kept having to fight her off. Ah, well, that is the fun of having a dog. If she hadn't been right there, the cat would have been.

That's hilarious!! emoticon Reminds me why I can't do too much in my home either since the cats follow me around and get in the way, and chase my toes. emoticon Aren't our pets wonderful! Have a great weekend and thanks for the smile. Love, Chelsea emoticon

Going downtown can sure be an adventure

Wednesday, April 24, 2013

I had to go downtown today and sure had a time getting there and back. I took the amount of money I needed for a round trip ticket. But I couldn't get the ticket machine to work so tried another one. The second one turned out to be for parking, not the bus/light rail ticket. I had enough to get a one way ticket and went and got on the first train that came along. Wrong train. At least I could get the free shuttle from either one, so I got to see some scenery I haven't seen in years and since they have changed a lot of things. Then I had to walk south to get to where I was going but had the wrong address, so was confused trying to find the place. I had trouble finding the room I needed to get to, too. What a comedy of errors.

On the way back, I knew where I needed to end up, but I needed to get some money to get the return ticket, so had to find a bank. Of course, I had passed the kind I needed and had to go back a ways. I finally got to the return light rail station and had learned a lesson and made sure I got the right train this time.

With all that running around I did manage to get some exercise. Now for some sleep.

Those days are much better in retrospect, and sometimes not so much fun when you actually are going through them... glad you got the exercise, though!

I'm glad you were able to see the up side of things, sometimes all it takes to turn a bad day around is a good attitude.

April 21 Walk in the Park

Sunday, April 21, 2013

It was a really nice, sunny, warm day today after a week of cold. Cassie and I stopped at the park on the way home from church today. We walked the mile around the park. On one side I noticed that there is a pull-up place. Now, I've never been able to do pull-ups, even when I weighed 110, so I knew I couldn't now, but it was something different to do. I thought maybe just pulling on there might be some strength training for my arms. So I did a few pulls on it. Then we continued around to where there is something for stretching and I did a couple stretches on it. I was surprised that I could reach my right foot up and lean forward with no problem once it was up there (bent knee). That was nice to find out.

This morning I got a text from my friend that her son was going home from the hospital today. He had surgery to remove a tumor from his brain just Friday afternoon. Praise the Lord for his quick recovery.

I am so glad your friend's son is doing well from the surgery. One of my dear friends, her best friend, had surgery last Friday to remove a cancerous brain tumor. It is hard for everyone, including friends. God bless you. emoticon
