Day 4

Thursday, May 03, 2007

You'll never guess what I did last night- I cant believe I did it myself. I'd been very virtuous you know fasting for my friend and all and then only eating dinner, and then I got off the computer and my daughter and husband were having a meeting with the Worship Leaders from our church and they were eating chocolate covered licorice, well I thought ooh! yum and ate 4 of them. I didn't even realise that I'd broken my pledge until I was geting into bed and it hit me! I just can't believe I did it!
Totally unconcious of any previous decision or goal I'd made that day. just like that! No wonder I struggle to lose weight- I must be constantly sabotaging myself!
On a better note I have increased my running mileage this week,so I've already burnt over 3000cals out on the road! At least my body has recovered from the flu and that is a good thing!

Day 3

Wednesday, May 02, 2007

Well today was a bit easier helped by the fact that I committed to fasting one day a month with a friend whose son is mildly Autistic and needs a miracle of healing! So I didn't eat anything sweet today the closest thing I had was a fresh fruit juice at about 4:00pm this afternoon so hopefully tomorrow will be another better day!

Day 2 of the Pledge

Tuesday, May 01, 2007

Well yesterday I went great got right through the day without snacking on any sugary food! Yeah!
Today, well I went hunting for something anything with chocolate, or sugar! Fortunately there was very little to find- I did find a chocolate covered bisciut ( Idid have a bite and gave the rest to my daughter) Kids come in handy! Then I found a weight watcher's fruit bar and devoured it! So in all I did okay but I really want to improve on that episode! Ihave a pear picked out for dessert after dinner tonight, hopefully it will fix my sugar crave!

Taking the Pledge

Monday, April 30, 2007

Well, I've got to do it-make a bigger effort to see if I can get some weight to move. I have stayed the same for so long! So I pledge that for today 4/30/07 nd for the entire month of May I will eat no lollies, biscuits or cakes, not even those that I can fit into my calorie count, and I will consisitently drink 8 glasses of water a day !

Keep On Running!

Saturday, April 21, 2007

Finally after a week of battling a respiratory virus I was back on my feet and out for a lengthy morning run! i love this time of year for running, so cool and crisp and that nasty winter wind hasn't kicked in yet! I always enjoy running as it gives me time to think about stuff, somehow my problems find solutions as I rhythmically glide through the quiet streets. Today I was meditating on healing . I woke up thinking about how when I hear about certain diseases I want tor reach out and heal people. I know for some people reading this that may seem outrageous, but if the same spirit that raised Christ from the dead dwell in us, why not healing with the Holy Spirit. Case in point, I had a man stand in front of me a couple of weeks ago and tell me he had macular degeneration which meant he was blind and there is no cure and nothing to be done. Boy how I wanted to rebuke that thing off his life. Jesus can heal it! So my plan over the next period of time is to press into God and asak for the gift of healing for specific diseases. I'm going to make a list of things that most get my goat- infertility, cystic fibrosis, macular degeneration and I'mr sure there are a few others.I really believe that Jesus heals today through the members of His body.It can happen!

I believe it too Faith and have had many in my church tell me about being healed. God is amazing! Keep praying for this gift and begin now with praying for those in your famiy and yourself. In our church we lay hands on those we are praying for like Jesus and His disciples did, I'm not sure if that is something you do. But I notice when I lay hands on someone I'm praying for there is a different kind of feeling there, its like a warm tingle and I get weak in the knees sometime. I also love reading about how you feel when you run, its very inspiring.
