I started this journey of really digging into the "Why" of my weight loss and eating with a book called "Normal Eating for Normal Weight." It's very good. As an emotional eater, it basically ripped the blinders off that I put on myself years & years ago.
I faced not trusting myself to eat and stop when full, I faced the "diet" restrictions I kept on my eating and the judgement that came with that when I would eat something I marked as "off limits." I started journaling what I ate, when, how much (in fists), what I was feeling before and after and really got a good look at some issues in my life.
Now, I'm at the point where the hard work really has to kick in and the weight has to come off for my health. I'm going to take it by storm and find a community that supports me in the work ahead.
....and if I see the "nothing tastes as good as thin feels" quote anymore, I may scream.
Nothing feels as good as being healthy; of listening to your body for what it needs to survive on a daily basis; or of being able to deal with life without the crutch of food.
I'm here to win at this and to really make this my last "diet" - turning it into a way of life.
