Today we had to pick our scooter up from the shop in Benidorm, and we made that into an active day in stead of what it could have been; taking the car there, picking the scooter up and going home again.
What we did was this:
Went for a long walk by the beach and up in a nature park called "Sierra Helada" where I have never gone before and it was wonderful and a bit unrealistic.
We started from the bus station in Benidorm. Through the old town with a lot of shops and cafés, down to the beach (a lot of people sunbathing today).
Walked all along the Levante beach where the Little England is with all their pubs. Saw as many drunken englishmen as I could take!
From there we left the beach and went up hill and the world changed as we turned to the park.
It was quiet and relaxing. The only ones there where people enjoying the beautiful day, and seagulls hanging in the air above us. When we reached the old tower at the end of the track we had the med sea in front and on both sides of us, and the mountain behind us.
It felt like we had come in to another world and that the busy Benidorm was not only a couple of km away.
We stood there breathing in the salty air looking at the sea for a minute and then we headed back to get the scooter and go home. My steptracker tells me we walked 16 km today. Not bad for a lazy monday!
This week my body really let me down! As the mind is happy and ok let the body take the blame for a not very active week.
Yesterday I was so tired that when hubby said he wanted us to go for what used to be my favourite long walk by the sea to the lighthouse I just looked at him. Tired!
Well we did it!
Today, as yesterday, I´ve been feeling this lack of energy but today the sun shone and that made a great difference.
Went for a nice walk in the surroundings and spotted the first squirrel I´ve seen since we moved here. That made me smile and gave me energy to take on the hills.
Nature can really charge the batteries!
The sun was shining, a lot of flowers in bloom and bees buzzing around, even some butterflies playing put on a show for us in the air.
Maybe it wasn´t much of a workout but it sure added to my well being!
Something isn´t right.
My energy is sucked up by the universe before I can use it.
We´ve been struggling with a very stubborn cold that won´t go away, but can that be all it is?
I don´t feel like exercising - and usually I love it. My heart pounds like it´s about to leave the chest during the cardio. (As I´ve got the strap on I know the HR is ok).
My body is so tired and boring! It doesn´t want to do anything.
I feel like I´ve got the flu, but don´t have any other symptoms.
Should I rest and hope that it´s what the body need or should I try to stay on schedule and hope for it to wake up and join me?
Today we had such terribly stormy weather I stayed in and used the elliptical for 45 min that felt like 3 hours. Tomorrow I think I´ll just take a nice long walk.
Hopefully in the morning I´ve got my old up-for-anything body back and this lazy thing leaves while I´m sleeping!
I took the easy way out for a couple of weeks and puh! was it hard to come back to the schedule!
Felt like this and before the visit that made me (hmm, blaming the circumstances... ayayay) lose my way I felt so good!
At last I´m back and feeling the muscles again. Strange how they seem to disappear in only such a short time. Now my stomach feels strong and tight again. Yesterday after workout my arms were shaking. Embarrassing!
Same weight and same reps as a month ago and shaking!
It was easy to lose myself and hard to get back on track BUT the body responded surprisingly quick to it all again. I´ll try to keep in mind how hard it was start over and tell myself that there isn´t much that´s worth it! Interesting information to have should I be tempted to take another of these "lazy episodes" or get sick.
