Spring is just around the corner! I'm very excited for cute skirts, dresses, capris, etc. I am dying to shop. However, it would be wasteful to do that right now when I am still wearing the same size. All my clothes from last year and now still fit. I want to have lost at least one pant size before I buy some new clothes. I do not expect to drop a size in tops. If anything I would just go from loose fitting tops to maybe semi-fitted or fitted tops. There's still time before spring weather hits so I think I am just going to use that time to keep eating healthy and working out and hopefully (eventually) I will drop a size. Then I will shop! Using Spring as motivation! ![]()

My boyfriend and I have been facing a lot of challenges lately. Besides the obvious stress and emotional roller coaster I have been on from it, it also means I'm more likely to give in to my emotional eating and start binging again. I don't want to do that. So far I've lost 11lbs. I'm on my way to getting where I want to be. I decided to join the group on here for Emotional Eaters. I figured it'd be a good precaution to take.
Besides for maintaining healthy eating habits it also impacts my exercise and sleep. I've been having difficulty sleeping even before we started getting stressed out. And between that and my mind always being else where it's been hard trying to exercise to the intensity that I want to. I feel like I'm slacking.

It is understandable that feeling stressed out makes you look for food when you are upset. I was the same way. But it is good to find other emotional eaters, such as us, so that we can compare stories and victories over emotional eating. Some say to chew gum instead of food when stressed out. You can also find brushing your teeth will help. Most of us do not eat after brushing our teeth because of the clean feeling inside our mouth. There are so many suggestions to help you. Just keep Sparking and adding a few new exercises to your day. You can do it!

Don't feel like a slacker. When you feel stressed out and want to reach for food pause and ask yourself "will this make me or the situation better?" Just put the food aside and try to rectify the situation or do some exercises. Just keep trying. Remember everything will pass by. Report Inappropriate Comment |
