Moving the ticker

Tuesday, November 29, 2011

well it has been a couple weeks since I saw 160 on the scale - been 157-158 for more than a week so I am officially moving my ticker to 159, which is 30 pounds less than what I weighed back in March, and 10 pounds less than what I weighed when I joined SparkPeople after one of my forever plateaus.

Just another Monday

Monday, November 28, 2011

Played with my new EA Sports Active 2 today - it's the one that came out last year, I just waited until now to get it at a very affordable price. It's fun to have a new toy to play with!

Stayed on track with food today, ate all my fruits and veggies for breakfast and lunch and had a good dinner. Stopped at Kroger on the way home where they had marked down all their extra veggie trays that were left over from the holiday. Got a big one for only $3.99. Ate the broccoli and grape tomatoes for dinner, will take the celery and carrots to work for snacks for a couple days, and have a sealed bag of turkey sausage bites and another of cheese cubes. Those will keep for a game day or movie night (we like to have appetizer lunches or dinners every month or so for fun!) There's also a tub of nasty ranch dip that will get eaten one way or another, but not by me!

Have a great week!

Great Day!

Sunday, November 27, 2011

As you know I indulged a teeny bit the last couple of days at our family Thanksgiving gathering. I was hoping for a gain of only a pound, maybe two - well guess how much I gained? Zero, zilch, zip, nada! Not even half a pound!

So after that exciting moment this morning I spent an hour or so doing my EA Sports Active, and achieved my 10,000 calories burned trophy, which is a goal I set to accomplish by the end of the month. I got it done three days early!

Did some online Christmas shopping, a couple of loads of laundry and other chores this afternoon, went to see a movie with my boyfriend, and did some origami for Christmas cards I am making. I have a touch of a sore throat so it was easy to stay in my calorie range for the day, I ate all my fruits and most of my veggies. I'll be back on track with the eating tomorrow at work - I have already packed my lunch and I've got all the fruits and veggies ready to go!

Hope everyone has a great week!

Good grief! You did all that in a day! You did very well. I went to church and sat down, took a nap and did nothing else. Day off for me. Tomoprrow I had better get my act together!

not a stellar performance this weekend

Saturday, November 26, 2011

Ate way too many crackers with my mom's cheese spread (it's like crack, i swear), didn't eat enough fruits or veggies, didn't track my food, ate more than one sweet Thursday AND Friday.

Here's what I did RIGHT! Passed on all bread and rolls that came my way, didn't have seconds of anything other than turkey at the main meal, ran around with my nephew and some other young friends outside multiple times, and even picked up some bananas and carrots at Target.

I'm all set to get back on track tomorrow, I have time planned out for tomorrow with plenty of time for EASA on the Wii, and will be making my Christmas cards while I watch football. That should keep my hands and mind occupied and keep me away from any snacks!

I think you did fine. Having something off program once in a while isn't a sin.

One of the things that I've realized in the past few years is the need to get tons of greens daily into my system. I do green smoothies with amazing results in just one week I swear! LOL. Our bodies crave nutrition. Our systems need some additional support. Then, honestly, we don't have a problem with cravings nor hunger. Click on the links in my signature area and take a looksie for yourself. SparkMail me for some further assistance if you indeed decide to incorporate this in your program.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Thursday, November 24, 2011

Had a very nice day with my parents and brother's family. Lots of good food, had a few too many crackers with my mom's cheese spread before dinner, but kept to small spoonfuls of the fattening stuff during the main meal. Looking forward to leftover turkey tomorrow - it's lean and packed with protein!
