Recap of my day/Goals for Monday

Sunday, January 09, 2011

I overall had a good day today, would give it a solid B. I had a bit of a splurge on fruit snacks with my daughter eating some of them, but I put them in my tracker and stuck with fruits and veggies for the rest of the day. I went over my points, but not amazingly. In the past, my splurge days would easily be 60 points. I had 43 points today (26 points consisting of fruit snacks....ridiculous really, staying away from those in the future!!).

My recap in my goals:

1. Nutrition: 29 points, but focusing mainly on protein and veggies/fruits. I really want to get in a bunch of veggies. Oh, and I am eating lunch at Paradiso tomorrow (brother's birthday) so I will plan to eat protein and veggies there (thinking something fajita-like w/o the tortillas). Goal not met, but I am okay with that. I did everything on here but for the points, which I hit 43 of. Instead of saying "I screwed this day up already, may as well keep on eating" I then stuck to freggies the rest of the day and owned my mindless snacking on fruit snacks.

2. Fitness: Cardio is taking a backseat today. I need to rest my legs after the run today because I have crosstraining on Monday with spinning. I will do ST, though, for sure since that has become so important! emoticon for taking a rest day, but I took that to the next level and just really took a day off from ST and cardio. I walked the dog around the block, and did some walking at the grocery store, but nothing else other than that.

3. Water/Caffeine: 120 oz of water and no caffeine (day 9!!!). emoticon, though this was hard (the water part). No structure in my day meant I got forgetful about drinking water and really had to guzzle it in the evening when I remembered. I had a full can of Diet 7-Up today.

4. Take some time for myself to read, relax....so important. emoticon I did this, but in the WRONG place. In the kitchen. With the food. Smart, Erin.

5. KEEP BUSY!!!! emoticon for about 80% of the day. Need to work on it a little bit.

6. Go to bed by 9 p.m. since I have to be up around 5 to go to the gym for spinning on Monday! Goal not met because right now it is 9:10 as I type this, but close, because I will be in bed the minute I finish this!

GOALS FOR MONDAY:

1. Nutrition: 29 points, low-sodium, low-carb, high-protein, freggies since Tuesday is my weigh-in and I need to prepare for it!! I am thinking egg whites and 1 egg scrambled with mushrooms and turkey bacon for breakfast, low-sodium soup with broccoli for lunch, and chicken with a baked potato and veggies for supper. Fruits will be part of my snacks and supplement my meals.

2. Water/No caffeine day #10: 120+ ounces of water and 1 can of Diet 7-Up.

3. Fitness: 50-minute spin and sculpt class in the morning with ST. Walk the dog once around the block. Do any extra during lunch hour.

4. Keep busy. If nothing else, clean. If low on work, clean. The weekends kill for cleaning because Kaylee is home all day, but need to catch up!

5. Go to bed by 9:15!

6. Have a great productive day at work, stay focused, and be happy!

Countdown to Cancun: 53 days with 16.4 pounds left to lose (will check weight next on Tuesday).

Those fruit snacks are as bad as the fruit roll-ups I think...I have to force myself to not buy them b/c they end up being a full meal instead of a *snack* haha.

You're doing so good! A trip to Cancun sounds so exciting too, hope you reach your goal!

Recap of my day/Goals for Sunday

Saturday, January 08, 2011

Wow, today turned out to be busier than I expected. I was up at 6:30 with Kaylee, did my bikini pics, took her to Wal-Mart, played with her, napped when she napped, then when she went to my mom's, Corey and I went to the mall. I found out I am a 36DD now (yay for finally hitting 36 ANYTHING!) at VS, but they didn't have the Incredible bra that I wanted on sale (just sold out). I have a gift card for Maurice's, but I wanted a t-shirt, and unfortunately all the t-shirts in my size are geared towards teenagers who don't have baby belly :o{ So, until next time for them.

Then, I went straight to the gym and did my 6 miles. I got home, walked the dog, took a quick hot shower, and had to go pick up Kaylee. I hadn't had dinner yet, so I sliced up an apple to eat while driving over (to tide me over). I was feeling carb-y, so I had whole grain penne pasta with marinara sauce and mushrooms, with a half cup of 2% cottage cheese on top (to kind of act as a ricotta cheese). YUMMMY!! I still stayed in my points, but got to have a bit of what I call comfort food. However, by the time this was all said and done, I realized that if I did ST at this time, I would probably have trouble falling asleep. So, I shall do that tomorrow instead.

With all this in mind, here is my recap and how I did:

1. Nutrition: Saturdays are either really easy or really difficult for me since it is the weekend and the structure isn't as clear-cut. I plan on eating small meals with protein and freggies being the focus. I will stay within my 29 points. emoticon for the most of it but for the focus on protein. It was a more carby day. I had a waffle with low-fat syrup, banana, and a small package of fruit snacks for breakfast. I had a sandwich with mesquite deli turkey breast and an apple for lunch. Snacks were either apples or bananas. My dinner was as described above. The only thing I really missed out on today was eating a lot of veggies. I will make sure I get plenty in tomorrow!

2. Fitness: I plan on getting to the gym and running and/or going on the elliptical. I will do some core work, too. I want to work out at least 1 hour. emoticon I ran 6 miles (a little over an hour). No ST or core work today.

3. Water: The same as always, at least 12o ounces before 6 p.m. Oh, and no caffeine, day 8. emoticon except it took me until 7:30 to hit my 120 ounces of water!

4. Get my Rachel_Mac progress pictures taken and posted, but with a better size this time! emoticon and I am REALLY happy about how they turned out and my progress. Gives me the motivation to keep on with what I am doing!

5. Busy, busy, busy is the name of this game again. The more busy I am, the less I crave bad food :o} emoticon VERY busy day, such that I forgot to make sure to have dinner between 5-7.

emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Goals for Sunday:

3. Water/Caffeine: 120 oz of water and no caffeine (day 9!!!).

4. Take some time for myself to read, relax....so important.

5. KEEP BUSY!!!!

6. Go to bed by 9 p.m. since I have to be up around 5 to go to the gym for spinning on Monday!

Countdown to Cancun: 54 days with 16.4 pounds left to lose (will check weight next on Tuesday).

Hey just a thought... to get some more veggies in, you could have added frozen veggies to your pasta about 2 minutes before it was done cooking or you could have pureeed your marinara sauce with some more veggies and then added your mushrooms in. You also could have added tomato, lettuce, sprouts, bell pepper, and anything else to your sandwich. I'm sure you know all these things, but just in case.. (:

Rachel_Mac progress pictures Week 2

Saturday, January 08, 2011

I am 100% happy with how I did this week. My nutrition was great with a lot of protein, my water was spot on, I did a crapton of ST, still did my cardio, and overall just am hoping to continue doing the same.

The pictures are a bit off in the sense that I zoomed in more today on myself. I was taking the pictures while getting Kaylee ready to get out of the house (wanted to take the pictures before eating/drinking). So, hair is messy, but that's okay!

I am seeing small changes, and I am happy with those changes!

On this last picture, the first one is last week, the second two are today.

Hopefully the size works better this time so we can actually SEE the changes!

As always, any comments are appreciated, so tell me the good, the bad, and the ugly :o}

Recap of my day/Goals for Saturday

Friday, January 07, 2011

My day started with running 4 miles and is ending with sending out a ton of Spark Goodies (with so much more still needing to be sent out, but will have to wait until tomorrow).

I had a great day again, and it is starting to become second nature to me again, which is definitely a great thing. I now know that the key to my success is to have tangible goals, tangible rewards that don't have a thing to do with food. Especially during winter and football season :o}

Here is how I did today:

1. Nutrition: Main thing is to have no more than 29 WW points. Also, focus is on protein first, freggies second, and fiber third. Keep it low-fat and as clean as possible. I need to do my progress pictures for the Rachel_Mac challenge on Saturday, so need to keep that in mind! emoticon I had 29 points on the nose, and had so much protein it is crazy. For breakfast I had 3 egg whites and an egg scrambled with skim milk with a sprinkle of cheese on top and a clementine. For lunch, I had tuna with a bit of Miracle Whip, cottage cheese, and broccoli (yes, weird combo, but hadn't gone grocery shopping yet). For supper, I had chicken with stir fry vegetables (onions, peppers, mushrooms, broccoli, water chestnuts, etc.) made with 1 TBSP of olive oil and a bit of soy sauce. Oh, and fruit for snacks.

2. Water/Caffeine: 120+ ounces of water for sure, and try to get most of it in by 6 p.m. if not all of it! 1 can at most of Diet 7-Up for day 7 of no caffeine! emoticon I had 130 ounces again of water, and had it all by 6 p.m. (so I won't be up all night peeing). Half a can again of Diet 7-Up (why don't I just drink the whole can????).

3. Fitness: Go to the gym and run on the treadmill for 45 to 60 minutes. ST at the gym and at home. Plan on doing SP videos. Walk dog around the block. emoticon I ran on the treadmill for 45 minutes, did ST at home, did SP videos, and walked the dog in the bluster cold outdoors.

4. BUSY BUSY BUSY: Friday is usually a rough day for me since DH is working until midnight and I always go to the grocery store so Kaylee can see daddy. I will need to make sure I go there NOT hungry, and to stay focused. Also, I need to make a plan of action with Kaylee, whether it be to stay at home and play or to go to the mall or Target to walk around. This one applies to work, as well. If I hit my line count, I will get incentive pay on my check, which is gravy! I need that! I will also need to work on getting our Holiday/New Year's letter/photo together and ready to be sent out Saturday (if they come in the mail). Yeah, I'm late. I know. emoticon Even though my daughter ended up visiting her grandma all evening, I still stayed pretty darned busy with grocery shopping, making a very nice dinner, and cleaning. I also did very well at work considering.

5. Go to bed by 9 since I am getting up with Kaylee on Saturday morning. Didn't happen tonight. My mom dropped Kaylee off at 8:15 so she went to bed pretty late, and I promised myself I would get the first set of spark goodies out tonight, which took me longer than I thought. I will be in bed by 9:30 though!

Goals for Saturday:

1. Nutrition: Saturdays are either really easy or really difficult for me since it is the weekend and the structure isn't as clear-cut. I plan on eating small meals with protein and freggies being the focus. I will stay within my 29 points.

2. Fitness: I plan on getting to the gym and running and/or going on the elliptical. I will do some core work, too. I want to work out at least 1 hour.

3. Water: The same as always, at least 12o ounces before 6 p.m. Oh, and no caffeine, day 8.

4. Get my Rachel_Mac progress pictures taken and posted, but with a better size this time!

5. Busy, busy, busy is the name of this game again. The more busy I am, the less I crave bad food :o}

Countdown to Cancun: 55 days with 16.4 pounds left to lose (will check weight next on Tuesday).

Do they sell the sodas you drink int he little half size cans? Those are a bit more expensive, but you're not wasting half a can and you're not tempted to drink the whole can either. Maybe something to look into?
