Burger Basket....Nom, nom,...ugh.

Monday, August 30, 2010

I participated in my kickball league's game tonight, and we were rained out. So, we all headed to our sponsor's bar, TJ's Sports Bar. I figured I would just have the diet Coke and call it good. Sure, until the owner himself (who not only sponsor's our team but is actually on it too) started taking orders. Everyone ordered tons of stuff, mainly buffalo wings. When he looked at me expectantly, I found myself ordering a burger basket. My God, woman, where's the self-restraint??? So, I ate the burger, and I ate the fries. They were DELICIOUS. And I enjoyed each moment of it. I didn't feel any guilt. I didn't feel shame. I just said to myself, "You had fun, you had a meal. So what?" And that is how I am going to feel about it. I went over approximately 200 calories on my range, and that's all good, since I did hit the elliptical for 50 minutes today plus did 2 miles of walking with my dog and half an hour of running and playing kickball.

Will my weigh-in tomorrow at Weight Watchers be okay still? I don't know. I really don't. But, it will be what it will be! I do know that next Monday, I will go to that sports bar with a plan, and an apple in hand LOL. I will get wings (which I don't like) to go for my husband.

So, I do plan on running about 4 miles tomorrow morning, most likely on the treadmill as it has been thundering out and will still be doing that in the morning. HOpefully that can stave off a bit of the calories LOL.

Until tomorrow!

Erin

I THINK IT IS SOOOOO GREAT THAT YOU DIDN'T BEAT YOURSELF UP BUT ENJOYED THE MEAL WITH YOUR FRIENDS INSTEAD.

THE IDEA OF TAKING WINGS BACK HOME TO YOUR HUBBY SOUNDS LIKE A GREAT PLAN ALSO.

GOOD LUCK! emoticon

    Wonderful going!

I think being able to cut loose and ENJOY something not really so good for us every once in a while is an important lesson.

When you get back on track after is shows your commitment to a new lifestyle.

Sounds like you had a great time! I'm sure you didn't do as much damage as you think - and if so then it's only one week and one weigh in. You can make it up later :) Good luck on the scale tomorrow!

I prefer to think of moments like these as confusing our bodies so that they don't get too used the lower calorie intake :) I'm sure you will be fine, and even if it throws things off a little... you enjoyed it :)

More checking in

Sunday, August 29, 2010

Wow, I still can't believe I ran 9 miles! Hasn't really sunk in yet on what my body has been able to do...

I ended up doing a lot of walking today too...just to keep my muscles moving and not cramping up. I don't want to wake up tomorrow not able to move! I ended up walking an extra 3 miles total. We had a block party, too, and I had 1 plate and half a cheeseburger. No sweets!! So many bees, and I am allergic with no EpiPen on hand, so I was a bit nervous.

I plan on still going to the gym tomorrow morning, though there is no spinning (they have a week off every 6 weeks to do maintenance on the bikes). I plan on going on the elliptical for half an hour or so and doing ST for at least a half hour. Kickball is tomorrow, too, so that should be fun and another workout!

Well, goodnight fellow Sparkies, and hope your Monday is just Sparktastic! I love Mondays!!!

XO ~

Quick check-in (9 miles)

Sunday, August 29, 2010

I had a nightmare last night where someone attacked me during my 9-mile run, so when I woke up at 4 this morning, I chickened out. At 11 a.m. today I decided to do it, but since it was in the 90s today, I went to the gym and went on the treadmill. It took me 1 hour 38 minutes 33 seconds to run 9.18 miles, but I had to walk about 5 times during the run. It felt great!!! I am really proud of myself for doing it.

Side note, I am going out to buy some pepper spray just in case... :o}

RAVENSONG ~ Hope you rocked that 9 miles too!!!

Accountability for tomorrow morning!

Saturday, August 28, 2010

So, I am supposed to get up and run 9 miles in the morning tomorrow. I am so excited to do it but another part of me is scared to do it!! I can easily procrastinate as I can technically do this on Monday morning, but I would be much happier and proud of myself if I take care of this tomorrow. Now that I have posted this, I will have that extra reason. No excuses!!

On another note, I did okay today. I stayed really busy. Went to the farmer's market, did a TON of garage saling, and bought my first pair of size 8 pants (though they don't button quite yet).

No junk food, though I did have a few more calories and was on the high end of my range. I made sure I ate a lot of healthy things, like grapes, oats, veggies, etc.

Recap of my day (Yay for CamelBak!)

Thursday, August 26, 2010

I also posted this on a thread in one my challenges (Periwinkles), so I'm sorry if you're reading this part twice!

I didn't get my 5-mile run in this morning (TOM hit me hard at about 4 a.m.), so I pushed it to tomorrow morning, and I'll be doing my 9-mile long run on Sunday.

We went out and I invested in a CamelBak today! I was going to borrow my husband's friend's son's CamelBak, but the one I got is tailored for a female (read: Boobs), so I made the right choice, even if it was $80!! I also picked up a couple of GU Gels. I got Strawberry Banana and Triple Berry. I will use them on the 9-mile run, and not the 5-mile run.

Recap of my 10/10/10 challenge goals:

EATING: I stayed in my range of points :o}

CARDIO: I changed this day to a day off from cardio.

ST: No ST today, will do it tomorrow morning.

WATER: I rocked it. Really plan on rocking it with the CamelBak

SLEEP: I slept for 9 hours last night!

Have a great Friday, Sparkers!

Great job on staying in your range for eating and water consumption. Wish I could sleep nine hours!

Have a great Friday and weekend ahead new spark friend!
