Turning forty.....

I thought I would take a few moments to write tonight, my heart is feeling a little heavy. I always feel this way before my birthday but today it's a little stronger. I don't k ow wether or not I'm ready to say goodbye to the thirties, they've been good, a lot better than my twenties! I got married, had my two beautiful children and found a lot of success in my career. I also gained a whole lot more confidence and just general ease. I think I'm happier too! I have mixed feeling about turning forty, I know it's inevitable and a whole lot better than never having the chance to turn forty. I remember how OLD forty was when I was a kid! I never imagined that it wouldn't actually feel much different than thirty, or younger. I want to move into this new decade with a good attitude, and continue on this journey to better health and be the best I can be! I want to be one of those people that make getting older look good, and fun! I will continue learning, growing and bettering myself. I will gain a stronger sense of peace that I've only recently found. I want to become a BETTER person, more compassionate and more involved. I know this next decade can and will be great and I'm looking forward to it.

    I feel like my 30's are going to be better than my 20's (hopefully we'll get to have a kid or two which will make my 30's perfect)...and I know my 40's will be better than my 30's! Don't you remember thinking THIRTY was so old when you hit 25 and realized you were halfway to the big 3-0? 40 will be the same, you'll see :)

    Life only gets better as we age am almost twice forty and am content and happy where I am in life today as we were the day we married which will soon be fifty seven years one day at a time

    I believe that your forties will be better than your thirties. I have loved my first 3 years of my forties. Each year I have gotten healthier, I have realized what is really important to me and I have started to live.

Look at the next decade as an opportunity to accomplish even more with your life.

    I believe forty (40) never looked so good. So be encouraged & enjoy everyday. I don't think even with this weight my mom looked so good at forty-four (44). Think of how many people didn't get to celebrate another birthday or live to become forty (40) or even a day older. Celebrate this day and don't look at the age look at how sweet it is to have one more opportunity...

Day two of calorie counting, plus no/low sugar. I have a bad headache which is typical when I give up sugar. But I have more energy! Today I used it to get through an intense 12 hour work day. I was an still am a little bit hungry all day. I have to see if its because I'm just USED to eating more or if I didn't have quite enough calories. I pre planned all my meals and snacks today so it made it super easy. I know I need to enter my food on the "calorie counter" but it takes so much time!

16 ounce protein shake (Garden Of Life Raw powder) with almond milk/banana

One cup nonfat Greek yogurt/peach

400 calorie frozen organic chicken and beans meal

Snack- almonds, coconut, cranberries, pumpkin seeds

Large green spinach salad with celery and albacore tuna and avocado vinegrette.

I had a nice day, once again very average food-choice wise. I can't seem to really get back in the hang of things! I'm. It's concerned about my tummy, I now seem to have a "tummy-tummy", the kind that shows a little through shirts and dresses. Even at my chub jest my stomach was never a problem. I don't want this to get worse! I'm not wearing have my clothes now because I DETEST stomach poppage. I took a lengthy walk and a bike ride today.

Two eggs w)salsa
Smoothie-almond milk, banana, spinach. Vegan protein powder, peanut butter powder
Figgy buckwheat scone
Power salad spinach, kale, seeds, carrots, goat cheese, cranberries, smoked tomato vinegrette)
2% Greek yogurt with spiced plum jam, one cup
Two pieces of seeded Breda with butter
4 ounces frozen tart yogurt.

Today was a average, was gone at work eleven hours and now it's time to clean the house! No exercise.

One cup 2% Greek yogurt, 1 tbslp plum jam
Figgy buckwheat scone
Green salad with peaches, goat cheese, and almonds and a vinegrette
Light 12 ounce blended coffee
4 small plates sushi
6 chips with salsa
10 cherries
