Well, the aluminium test has been done without a hitch! I'm now waiting for the results and I will probably be having the parathyroid gland surgery early 2013. Hopefully, after the surgery, I can do my Pilates again as well as stop my bones aching like an old lady! In short, hopefully after they have removed/relocated my parathyroid glands, I'll be myself again and can start exercising like I used to!
I will let you peeps know when I come to that bridge!

The first one was the church Christmas Party on Tuesday (the 18th). I had a really good time because I got to sing carols on stage in front of a packed audience. The food was good but not fantastic. We had fried rice, fried rice vermicilli (lots of veggies!), sweet and sour fish with cucumbers, tomatoes and pineapple, chicken rendang (kind of a dry curry), mixed veggies (cauliflower, green peppers, mushrooms and baby corn) and mixed fruits (watermelon, papaya, pineapple) and homemade fruit cake with chocolate chips (a little unusual but yummy all the same!). For drinks, we had a choice of fruit cocktail or soya bean milk. I heard the fruit cocktail was super sweet, so I went for the soya bean milk, not too sweet, just right for my liking!
I haven't got the photos yet but when I do I'll post them.
And on the last night's (Saturday, the 22nd) fabulous, fantastic turkey dinner! There were only 7 of us but we had way too much food! Each of us like had 4 to 5 helpings each because there was just so much food! First there was the fab roast turkey! Our bible study leader bought a small frozen turkey (3.5kgs) and roasted it himself! It was really moist and flavourful! Then there was the spaghetti carbornara. The chef, one of my friends actually came over to cook it right there and then at the party. The gravy had lots of streaky bacon and onion in it and was super tasty. The pasta was just right too! Al dente!
On to my contribution to the party! I made coleslaw and mashed potatoes from scratch. My friends said that my 2 contributions were yummy, tasty etc. and nearly finished the entire lot! Me and my Dad had the leftovers for dinner today. I managed to also bring back the turkey wings minus the drummets, someone else got that. My Mom also contributed cubed rice and chicken rendang!
I got a good book from my bible study leader for a Christmas pressie! It's about the 7 Lies that Women fool themselves with. For the gift exchange, I got a gingerbread man and a jar of nice, mixed berry jam. For my contribution, I gave away a cross-stitch bookmark, that I sewed myself!
I hope I haven't done to much damage to my healthy eating plan. I had 3 helpings of carbornara, 2 helpings of turkey breast with gravy, 2 small helping of coleslaw and mashed potato with turkey gravy and 3 slices of pizza.
I was really tired after the party last night as I spent the entire week, waking up early each morning because of various reasons. So I like crashed and slept soundly till 3.30pm today! I didn't even make it to church because I was so tired. I really need the sleep! When I woke up, I had a plate of chicken rice with roast pork. The me and my Dad went out to find this furniture shop that has offers on Tablets but we didn't manage to find the shop. We then went to a little mall with Starbucks and KFC. I bought a Toffee Nut Frap (my last chance to do so, no more of them after Christmas) and a large order of wedges.
When me and my Dad came home, he said he was hungry was wanted dinner. Between him and me, we finished what was left of my coleslaw, mash potatoes and the turkey wings I brought back. I also brought back some seedless grapes. After all that food, I was almost stuffed but not quite, I made it a point not to eat till I'm stuffed. I had to lie down to rest for the food to digest. Later on tonight, I ate my gingerbread man. It was yummy and not too sweet.

Sigh! My face is rounder already (it's the first place to show, along with my tummy). True, I still weigh the same and I can still wear most of my clothes but I dread my fat composition! yikes! Everywhere you go, there are special Christmas foods and drinks. All those parties don't help either. I have 2 to look forward to, the first is a catered affair, with fancy good foods (I've heard), the 2nd is a potluck among my Bible Study group but consider this : there are only about 10 of us but we are planning on having food fit for 25! I did suggest slimming down on the menu but they wouldn't listen! Oh well! 'Tis the season to be jolly and eat! But I hope I can get away with it and not put on too much weight!
And it doesn't end in January either! Oh NO! Then it's Chinese New Year season for the whole month till February!!!! AAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!
