I ate way too much today and my computer is driving me nuts!

Tuesday, July 17, 2012

Well, it's Tuesday again and I've eaten waaaaay too much! About 500 kCal over, I would guess. I came back quite late from Home Fellowship, watched my Korean Drama. And here I am at the computer hurrying to fit my points for the day within 10 minutes before midnight and it's freezing on me! My computer is driving me nuts!

I love the bigger screen display on this desktop but I seriously have to get more RAM for it as it's as slow as a tortise! Which can be very frustrating if I'm in a hurry! But my Dad bought a notebook which is way more powerful than this desktop but the screen is a pain, imagine scrolling, scrolling and getting imcomplete displays because the screen is too small (especially on this site) Sigh!

Ah, okay... I don't think eating 1700 calories in a day will hurt your weight loss efforts all that much, if at all. If your range is 1200-1500, then you really only overate by 200 calories anyway.

If upgrading the RAM doesn't help, you might want to run a virus scan to make sure that it's not one of those. McAffe and Norton are my favourite ones. Were I at home, I could get you the name of the free service I use. Don't trust pop-up ones, though!

I normally eat 1,200 to 1,500 kCal in a day. Yesterday, I ate like 1,700!

Korean Drama Craze!!!

Monday, July 16, 2012

Oh! Good Lord! Help me! I've caught the Korean Drama Craze Bug! It all started with my Mom, she's an avid watcher of Korean Dramas. I just sat down one day and watched with her and I was hooked! Now, I can't even bear to miss a single episode!

It doesn't matter that I started watching midway thru the series, I was still hooked! And now I'm looking forward to the next drama on the same channel! It so funny the way my Mom rushes home after picking up my brother from work 5 days a week so she can catch the next episode! But now I've caught the same bug too! Sigh!

When I was in U, my dad and friends "infected" me, starting with Winter Sonata then all those pirated Korean Movie (Kwong San Woo, yay!) :)
Now, my dad re-infected me again, haha. And there was Winter Sonata anime version, brought all memories and feeling :D

But honestly, I much prefer Japanese anime :D

Anyone of you watch "The Bold and the Beautiful", I used to be hooked to it, but not anymore. The plot is getting a little silly.

Just the other day I explored the Korean movie section on Netflix, and wow, they look awesome! I should have known, because back when I read manga, the Korean one's were always the best. :)

Glad you are having fun,and it's so nice that you and your Mom can have some mother-daughter time!

I know that feeling! I am into Hong Kong TVB dramas. Once I start watching, I can't stop. In the summer, I take a break because I have my daughter with me. So, I spend quality time with her.

A lazy Sunday with homemade mashed potatoes!

Sunday, July 15, 2012

Gosh! Where did the Sunday go? In fact, where did the entire weekend go? It's Sunday night again, and tomorrow, it's going to be Monday again! Sigh!

I spent the morning in church with fellowship after service. I had a cup of tea and a tuna sandwich. I also had some custard kind of dessert which came wrapped in banana leaves. I then spent the afternoon watch the National Geographic channel, jellyfish and sharks to be exact. Have you ever seen someone catch a 16-foot great white shark! They're tagging them to conduct research.

I then spent the twilight walking, more like strolling, then watered the plants. I then made my own homemade mashed potatoes, 2 US russet potatoes, boiled for 20 minutes, mashed with 3 tsp olive oil margarine, lot's of freshly ground pepper, a wee bit of salt and a wee bit of chicken stock granules. It was mighty tasty but my Dad refused to try it, so I ended scarfing down the whole thing.........oppps! Yummy! It's a good thing I didn't add too much margarine! Seeing that I ate the whole thing..........

Hmmmm! What did I do on Saturday? Can't really remember but the weekends sure fly by fast! Before you know it, it'll be Friday again with the anticipation of another weekend. Time sure flies by fast, here we are in the middle of July now! In no time, it'll be Christmas again!

Sounds like you made great potatoes! I love mashed potatoes. I used to eat them all the time, and now I'm getting better at not eating them so much. I would get the boxed kind, not make them from scratch, so there would be all these added chemicals. I'm sorry your weekend is over... *hugs* and have a good night!

Hard to believe I'm sitting here drinking my second cup of coffee. It's 9:31 am Sunday morning, and your Sunday is already over! Your stroll sounds lovely. Potatoes fixed anyway are our favorite. We can't do them to often because they spike the blood sugar. My sis is diabetic. Hope your Monday is going well!

I have my own mulberry saplings now!

Saturday, July 14, 2012

A kind neighbour gave them to me! They're pretty small now, just little green shoots on little twigs but they'll grow! Then I can have my own mulberries! I must remember to water them daily and fertilize them later so I'll get good crops of mulberries!

Oh, the only exercise I did today was walking to the neighbour's house twice, she wasn't in the first time. I was thinking of walking to Subway for dinner but my Dad came back from the mechanic's just then.

I asked him to give me a lift to Subway but he declined. Saying I already had a sub on Tuesday. After that, I didn't feel like walking all the way there (about 30 to 40 minutes solid walking to and another 30 to 40 minutes back). It was sooooo hot! Might get heatstroke!

I planted a mulberry tree in my front yard about 15 months ago, along with a red grapefruit. It is very hot and dry where I live (southern Arizona). The mulberry is doing very well, it's about 7 feet tall now, but takes an amazing amount of water! The grapefruit is not doing so well, due to getting sunburned in the summer, and frostbitten in the winter. It's still struggling along, though!

I love Mulberries and on one of our walks found 2 bushes that the birds hadn't ravished! Good luck with These heat wave is too dangerous to be out in unless you go early morning or after 7:00pm at night in my neck of the woods so good judgement call. Lucinda

They taste fantastic though!

Tried a new veggie today!

Friday, July 13, 2012

Preserved Olive Leaves! I think they're manufactured in China. They come in little jars and are meant to be eaten with bland rice porridge. It's a little salty but so delicious!

I love trying new foods!
