Gosh! I'm aching all over!!!!

Thursday, June 28, 2012

Can you believe that exercising with 2 paper plates could be such torture?! blogilates.com/bikini-blaster-series Check out Bikini Blaster 3, that's the workout that tortures you with paper plates! I couldn't even complete all the reps, they were soooo intense!

I tried doing it last night, and my arms & thighs are still sore today. So, I decided to work my arms today! I wish I could afford some valslides though. But paper plates work just fine too, surprisingly.

I'm so glad I found Cassey's workouts! I've been sore for months now because I've been doing her workouts regularly!

I used paper plates, too, when I did a workout from Shape magazine. Then someone took my plates, I hope they didn't use them for eating!

Check out ZWOW in youtube, those workouts are crazy intense, even though in the videos, the exercises look easy LOL

Exercised to an old favorite!

Tuesday, June 26, 2012

I dusted off my old Jane Fonda Abs, Buns & Thighs VCD and did one 25 minute workout! I was sweating profusely. Her workouts are so effective! I'm planning to do the 2nd workout on Thursday! I wish it were a DVD though, then I don't have to keep pressing the forward button to get to the 2nd workout!

It feels so good to have accomplished a good dose of exercise!

Wouldn't it be nice to be rich!

Monday, June 25, 2012

I went window shopping after church on Sunday. I saw some very nice watches. I spent almost the entire 4 hours of dialysis today making my decision which watch to purchase. I've settled on a nice bangle type decorative one. I will post pics of it on my Sparkpage after I've bought it!

Wouldn't it be nice to be so rich that I can buy more than one watch. I also have to save money to buy materials to learn to knit my own blouse! That will mean another delay as I try to save enough for them!

Wouldn't it be nice to be so rich that I don't have to scrimp and save and worry so much!

Our ideas of being rich differ so much. You'd like money to buy more than one watch and materials for a blouse. My idea is going to the grocery store and shopping without looking at the prices. Perhaps it is because we are content in our lives that our wants are so small. In our own way, we are rich!

I grew up very poor and most of my life was just happy to have enough to make it until the next paycheck.
I always thought IF I were rich that I would be very generous. But I think most poor people feel that way.
Rich people are usually NOT. That's why they are rich. emoticon

While it might be nice to be rich (I think we all have that thought once in a while), there are definitely down-sides to it:

If you could buy any watch you wanted on a whimsy, would you have the joy of carefully considering which you really really wanted and valuing it?

If you had more money than you needed, would you be able to trust that new friends cared about you and not about what you could give them?

We are richest when we appreciate what we have - not when we can have whatever we want and then fail to appreciate it as we want more.

Took the day off to dye my hair!

Saturday, June 23, 2012

I did 35 minutes of Pilates on Thursday. My whole body was aching yesterday. But I just didn't feel like exercising today (Saturday). And since I had unwashed hair, I decided to color my hair today. It's been looking awful lately, my last color job was like 4 or 5 months ago, and my hair looked patchy........I'm sure those who color their hair regularly know what I mean..........

I used a new Japanese hair color, which is in foam form, so easy! You don't even have to section it with a comb, just rub the foam all over! And you're done! After I rinsed off the foam, I washed and conditioned my hair, I chose a lovely chestnut brown.

My hair is dry now and no longer patchy! I love it!

Exercising at my own pace

Thursday, June 21, 2012

I've been following Cassey Ho's workouts for a few months now
( www.blogilates.com ). I know that she recommends exercising like an hour a day; which means combining a few of her workouts to make up an hour of exercise (her video segments are anywhere between 5 to 25 minutes each). But I don't think I can manage an hour, like today, I did like 35 minutes, for today, that was all I could take. I don't think it's a good idea to push myself too hard and then do the reps with bad form or even fall and injure myself. Some days I do 20 minutes, some days 40 minutes, some days 30, it depends on how I feel. If I'm so sore, I might just do 20 minutes or even skip it for that day.

Her workouts are intense, trust me! Maybe someday, I'll be able to do an hour, but for now, I'll have to listen to my body.

I haven't been walking outdoors recently because of the haze. It's terrible! The forest fires in Sumatra, Indonesia are causing it! Maybe I'll do a dance DVD this Saturday.

Of courser its best to do anything at your own pace . one thing though is we tend to not push yourself to our best . if pushed we can do some amazing things that we never thought we could .I do agree but can you do another one later in the day ? like they say any excise counts . ten minutes now and ten minutes six other times in the day makes an hour. I know you are going to say i do not want to get sweaty several times a day . You are doing a great job . do not stop . do not allow any one to tell you that if you can not do the whole thing in one shot that you should stop . no never stop .enjoy what you do and you will do it without fail . emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Good form is so important. I only learned recently I have been walking wrong - looking down when I should maintain a straight back. Enjoy your dancing! emoticon

I agree with you, your own pace is best, unless you find yourself never exercising!

Listening to your body is important to prevent injuries, and to keep your motivation up, if you hurt too much, you won't exercise!

Have fun with your workouts! emoticon
