OMG!!!! My triceps are aching today!

Monday, April 02, 2012

If you want the same aches, go to www.youtube.com and search for POP Pilates! The instructor, Cassie Ho, really kicks butt! I would love to have a body like her's! But don't forget the cardio! Pilates alone won't melt off the fat! But it will give you long, lean muscles but no one's going to see them if you have a layer of fat over them!

Oh well, I'm so tired! I think I'll head off to bed now! Bye!

I can't always follow the workouts I do...........

Saturday, March 31, 2012

Sometimes there are too many reps of an exercise that my abs (or whatever body part I'm working) literally cry out for release. I mean, if I ache just a little, I will press on but sometimes, it hurts so bad, you just can't! Please tell me I'm not the only one!

I mean the instructor can do it bcoz she's super fit! But I'm just an ordinary person trying to lose weight and get fit! Oh well, maybe someday.........I'll be able to follow all those tough workouts 100%!

If you could do it with a smile, like the models in the video, then you wouldn't need to buy a video to help you get into shape. (What a vicious circle). Just keep doing whatever you are able to and it will come to you.

Everyone has to work to their own level. I'm no olympic athlete so I only do what I can do.

Don't give up as you take one step at a time. Challenge yourself to do just one more or take one more step next time. We've come this far by faith. Before you know it, you'll be like, I need to add another rep, move, step, or lap. emoticon emoticon emoticon

Oh, we all do it, yes! And pushing yourself is one thing but exercise should not hurt! You do not need an injury! Easy does it!
Have a great weekend!

A nice little treat for myself.

Thursday, March 29, 2012

I've been feeling a little down lately with complications with dialysis. Mainly with too much water weight causing my blood pressure to drop, dizziness etc. I basically just wanted a pick me up. Then it occurred to me. I have many earrings, and I also have many hair accessories. But I don't have like a pair of good, small, 'wear everyday' earrings. I do have a pair of diamond and white gold earrings, but it's too expensive for me to chance wearing it too often.

I recalled seeing a trendy pair of white gold dolphin earrings. No diamonds. I went to the mall with my Mom today and with 15 minutes left to spare, I went to the jewellery shop and I spotted them. A pair of cute dolphin shaped earrings. Not too big, not too small. It's cute and appears to have a small diamond but there are no diamonds in this pair. It's just the way it's cut.

I had just enough in my purse to buy it! It's was like RM99. I really wanted it, so I bought it! I'm so happy now! I'm going to wear it starting tomorrow! (I don't wear earrings to bed). I feel like jumping up and down and doing a little jig!

Those earrings sound super cute. :) Sometimes we need (and deserve) a pick-me-up. I recently bought some new shirts and a dress from Victoria's Secret because things have been pretty stressful lately. Funny how effective retail therapy can sometimes be!

A Short one!

Wednesday, March 28, 2012

Hi, Spark Friends, I will make this blog short becoz I need to get ready for bed soon. I just got back from a fancy dinner in a fancy restaurant to celebrate my younger male cousin's birthday. I might have mentioned him before, he doesn't eat veggies.

Well, I kept my portions to a minimum. I especially like the crispy skin of the roast duck! And the steamed fish! Yum!!! I felt guilty for consuming the sharks fin's soup though but knowing how expensive real sharks fin is, I would think that we didn't get any real shark's fin in the soup (at least, I hope so).

The cake was nice too. And my uncle (my cousin's Dad) footed the bill. I sent him an SMS and called him later to thank him. I should have thanked him there and then but I wasn't feeling too well because I just completed dialysis today, so I forgot.

Oh well, I'm so tired now, I need to read my Bible a bit more, then I'm going to bed or stay up reading. Why, I consumed Chinese Tea during the meal and it's likely that I can't sleep a wink tonight but a reading a nice book sound comforting and relaxing now.............

I was reading a Christian book on having a fabulous life no matter what. The author shares her experiences, and teaches us how to have a cheerful attitude even if our lives have snags, based on her experiences. It's by Karen Linamen. She's quite humorous.

Good morning...I love eating duck, too. And steamed fish. Yum. Dinner sounded wonderful. You showed good restraint. I have limited drinking tea and coffee to a minimum. I'm sure you must have enjoyed reading. What were you reading might I ask? I love to read. Have a wonderful morning...

Actually, being on dialysis is better than having a transplant. If I have a transplant, the meds will cost even more and there will no more financial welfare.

Sounds like a lovely evening. Love crispy skin of roast duck as well.

Don't know if you are eligible for a kidney transplant. It must be quite difficult at times to always be on dialysis.

Have a good sleep!

I bought 2 new CDs on Friday!

Sunday, March 25, 2012

Andrea Boceli, singing in Italian (I think) with a beautiful tenor (I think, not sure). He has powerful vocals and I could just 'get lost' in the music and his voice if I just put it in the CD player.

I also bought Marie Digby's 3rd (latest) album. I could have downloaded them but I wanted Marie's pretty pictures, so I shelled out the RM49.90 (they were having a sale) for the 2 CDs.

I already converted my fave songs into mp3 to put into my mp3 player, I'll have good time listening to music during dialysis on Monday onwards!
