Hi, Spark Friends, I will make this blog short becoz I need to get ready for bed soon. I just got back from a fancy dinner in a fancy restaurant to celebrate my younger male cousin's birthday. I might have mentioned him before, he doesn't eat veggies.
Well, I kept my portions to a minimum. I especially like the crispy skin of the roast duck! And the steamed fish! Yum!!! I felt guilty for consuming the sharks fin's soup though but knowing how expensive real sharks fin is, I would think that we didn't get any real shark's fin in the soup (at least, I hope so).
The cake was nice too. And my uncle (my cousin's Dad) footed the bill. I sent him an SMS and called him later to thank him. I should have thanked him there and then but I wasn't feeling too well because I just completed dialysis today, so I forgot.
Oh well, I'm so tired now, I need to read my Bible a bit more, then I'm going to bed or stay up reading. Why, I consumed Chinese Tea during the meal and it's likely that I can't sleep a wink tonight but a reading a nice book sound comforting and relaxing now.............

Andrea Boceli, singing in Italian (I think) with a beautiful tenor (I think, not sure). He has powerful vocals and I could just 'get lost' in the music and his voice if I just put it in the CD player.
I also bought Marie Digby's 3rd (latest) album. I could have downloaded them but I wanted Marie's pretty pictures, so I shelled out the RM49.90 (they were having a sale) for the 2 CDs.
I already converted my fave songs into mp3 to put into my mp3 player, I'll have good time listening to music during dialysis on Monday onwards!

Well, I've made a commitment with myself to be more regular and consistent with the exercise and so far, I've done good. I've just completed a Pilates toning workout, it was a little basic but it still really kicked butt. I foresee that I'll be quite sore tomorrow.
My plan is this, do one DVD one day, then rest the next, do another DVD if I'm not to sore 2 days later, then rest another day. If I'm still sore after day 2, I will rest 2 days instead of 1 for my muscles to recover. I might take a long walk on day 2 though, to make it seem that I'm doing something.
This is I think week 2 or 3 and I'm doing good. I will press on! This feels good! The feeling you get after you've done a workout is soooo good! I think I'm learning to like exercise! And that is good!

I know of girls who have 'perfect' bodies. But is having a perfect body worth NEVER having an ice-cream or chips now and then and having to eat like a rabbit ALL the time?
This is a question I ask myself often. But I know myself : I enjoy food; and I know that I will literally DIE if I can't have a burger, chips, ice-cream, pizza, etc. now and then.
I know I still have some weight to lose but I won't hate my body just because it's not perfect. I will continue to exercise and try to keep within my calorie range. But I have to have my occasional treat. Like today, I had an ice-cream (an almond Magnum), then to get some fibre, I had an orange. That's it, no more nibbling on cookies! After all, I still need to control myself. I may not have a perfect BMI, but at least I'm not obese.
I mean having occasional treats is fine but you can't go overboard and binge or nibble all the time. I think I'd rather have a not so perfect BMI than to go through life hungry all the time or wistfully just looking at things I can't eat.

I've discovered some great new Pilates workouts! My Pilates DVDs are pretty basic and easy. I was looking to challenge myself and I found POP Pilates on Youtube. I forgot the trainer's name : Cassey something but her workouts are REALLY tough.
I couldn't even finish all the reps like her! And some of her workouts, I can't even do, but I've downloaded them for the future when I'm more fit!
