I finally did it today!

Tuesday, March 13, 2012

I bit the bullet today and made myself do a 50 minute pilates workout! Now I feel so stretched and relaxed! I feel so good! Especially after a bath after the workout!

This feels so great that I'm beginning to wonder what's wrong with me for being so reluctant to exercise these few weeks!? True, my right knee is still twinging but I can always do pilates instead of dancing or aerobics!

From now on, I'll make myself exercise regularly and consistently! There! I said it! Now there's no turning back!

If you are like me, I get a bad case
of the LAZIES ! emoticon

Since I joined the 10 minute team,
it was been easier to do SOMETHING
for a mere 10 mins.
Often, I end up going further.
It helps to keep that 10-min streak going

emoticon WE can do it!

BLESSINGS!

Great job! Also, check out Nichole's 15 minute office workout. I do it two or three times a day - and it's great, low impact, no equipment (no clothes change or shower required.) God bless . . . emoticon

You are inspiring. I'm going back to spin class tonight. I know I will feel better afterwards. It's just breaking the initial inertia.

Why don't I see it?

Sunday, March 11, 2012

A few people have told me that I'm pretty but I just don't see it. When I look in the mirror, sometimes I think I'm ugly, sometimes I think I'm ok looking. I depends on the lighting, my mood etc. But I never think I'm pretty.

So, do I have self-esteem issues? Or am I ugly?

You are very pretty from what we can see. I am not sure how much you photoshopped your picture, but your features still seem very pretty, even if you had not photoshopped.

Actually, my picture has already been photoshoped. I actually have scars from acne. Not a lot but still noticeable!

I think we are all our own worst critics and we question our attractiveness. And as one person commented, we compare ourselves to actors and models who have makeup artists, plastic surgery, and air brushed photography! And why do you think models are paid thousands...they are exceptional!
You look so pretty...and even if that is an exceptional picture...you are NOT ugly!
Do you have a self esteem issue? Only if you dwell on it, are sad/depressed over it or avoid life because you are "ugly"!
Have a good week! emoticon

You are your own worst critic! All the photoshopped media and celebrities enhanced with plastic surgery have given us unrealistic expectations for beauty. It causes us to focus on all the things we don't like about ourselves instead of the things we do like.

For what it's worth, I think you're pretty. You probably do have some self-esteem issues if you think otherwise! In any case, you're definitely not ugly in any sense of the word!

Sometimes I think I am and other times I'm not. It all depends on what I'm wearing and my state of mind.

Most people don't find themselves very pretty or handsome. This is because you are used to your image in the mirror. Try it after you get some professional make-up. You will think that you are way pretty. But over time, you can even get used to that same "way pretty" look, and it won't provoke the same feelings in you.

I guess most people tend to spend more during a sale!

Saturday, March 10, 2012

I went shopping with my Mom on Thursday. There was a members only sale that day. I saved a lot but at the same time I spent a lot too. My underwear drawer was full of limp, overstretched, and holey underwear. I had to buy some new underwear and proper bras.

I bought 4 beautiful under-wire bras (I just LOVE lacy bras!), 1 non-wire bra (for home-wear) and 5 comfy panties. Cost me an arm and a leg but I would have spent even more if not for the sale! Oh well, I don't go underwear shopping often and I did need to get some new ones anyway!

I love shopping! I guess it's a girl thing! lol!

I had my fringe trimmed again today!

Tuesday, March 06, 2012

I have a new regular hairdresser now. He has trendy saloon near where I live. I normally walk there. He's even closer then my last regular hairdresser. And his shop is well lit and very clean. He normally charges quite a lot for a full trim (whole head) but when I go to get my fringe trimmed, he 's so nice and does it for free!

But I always bring his normal fee for a fringe trim just in case. So far, I've had my fringe trimmed 3 times, I think, and he still hasn't charged me anything! My next proper trim will be in June, if my hair is unruly. Otherwise, I guess I'll have a proper, whole head trim in August 2012.

I'm trying to grow my hair longer. And my hair grows very, very slowly....... and as I'm close to 40, this may be my last change to have really long hair, so we'll see...........

I am totally "hairdresser dependant" - and I, too appreciate that my current regular hairdresser trims a tiny bit without charge. I want my hair to get longer, too - and my previous stylist wanted to cut EVERY TIME I saw him - I never allowed it, but he always brought it up. He wouldn't trim one single hair without charging for a full haircut. He used to say that if I cut it, it gets longer. No - if I cut it, it gets shorter. Duh... There are no age limits to long hair. It keeps you young (although I don't think so if you let it go gray - I know I never would.) I began coloring my hair when I was very young - because I didn't want to even know the first grays were coming in. I have never seen my natural hair since my early twenties - and would be devastated if it had gray in it. You sound so much like me - hair is such an important part of my self image. Good luck, good growing, and God bless.

There's something wrong here..........

Friday, March 02, 2012

I used to think that if I had all the money I could want to spend/shop, I'd be perfectly happy!

But when I look at celebs with a lot of money, I see that they're not perfectly happy. Why is that? Because they don't have God? But they have enough money to buy all they want yet so many of them abuse alcohol and drugs! And their marriages don't last long either.....

If I were in their place, I would use the material wealth to satisfy my need for material things but at the same time, I would donate some to the poor and needy too..........

But as they say, you can't really know someone unless you walk in their shoes, which I haven't had the fortune to yet...........what do you think?

Unfortunately money doesn't buy happiness, and seems to bring problems! I totally agree the ability to be able to have needs met and be charitable is very appealing! But I also see so often people who win the lotto end up broke and not happy! I always hope to win the lotto but I don't want multi millions...just enough to be debt free, money for retirement, medical and for charity!
Good Luck!
