I guess most people tend to spend more during a sale!

Saturday, March 10, 2012

I went shopping with my Mom on Thursday. There was a members only sale that day. I saved a lot but at the same time I spent a lot too. My underwear drawer was full of limp, overstretched, and holey underwear. I had to buy some new underwear and proper bras.

I bought 4 beautiful under-wire bras (I just LOVE lacy bras!), 1 non-wire bra (for home-wear) and 5 comfy panties. Cost me an arm and a leg but I would have spent even more if not for the sale! Oh well, I don't go underwear shopping often and I did need to get some new ones anyway!

I love shopping! I guess it's a girl thing! lol!

I had my fringe trimmed again today!

Tuesday, March 06, 2012

I have a new regular hairdresser now. He has trendy saloon near where I live. I normally walk there. He's even closer then my last regular hairdresser. And his shop is well lit and very clean. He normally charges quite a lot for a full trim (whole head) but when I go to get my fringe trimmed, he 's so nice and does it for free!

But I always bring his normal fee for a fringe trim just in case. So far, I've had my fringe trimmed 3 times, I think, and he still hasn't charged me anything! My next proper trim will be in June, if my hair is unruly. Otherwise, I guess I'll have a proper, whole head trim in August 2012.

I'm trying to grow my hair longer. And my hair grows very, very slowly....... and as I'm close to 40, this may be my last change to have really long hair, so we'll see...........

I am totally "hairdresser dependant" - and I, too appreciate that my current regular hairdresser trims a tiny bit without charge. I want my hair to get longer, too - and my previous stylist wanted to cut EVERY TIME I saw him - I never allowed it, but he always brought it up. He wouldn't trim one single hair without charging for a full haircut. He used to say that if I cut it, it gets longer. No - if I cut it, it gets shorter. Duh... There are no age limits to long hair. It keeps you young (although I don't think so if you let it go gray - I know I never would.) I began coloring my hair when I was very young - because I didn't want to even know the first grays were coming in. I have never seen my natural hair since my early twenties - and would be devastated if it had gray in it. You sound so much like me - hair is such an important part of my self image. Good luck, good growing, and God bless.

There's something wrong here..........

Friday, March 02, 2012

I used to think that if I had all the money I could want to spend/shop, I'd be perfectly happy!

But when I look at celebs with a lot of money, I see that they're not perfectly happy. Why is that? Because they don't have God? But they have enough money to buy all they want yet so many of them abuse alcohol and drugs! And their marriages don't last long either.....

If I were in their place, I would use the material wealth to satisfy my need for material things but at the same time, I would donate some to the poor and needy too..........

But as they say, you can't really know someone unless you walk in their shoes, which I haven't had the fortune to yet...........what do you think?

Unfortunately money doesn't buy happiness, and seems to bring problems! I totally agree the ability to be able to have needs met and be charitable is very appealing! But I also see so often people who win the lotto end up broke and not happy! I always hope to win the lotto but I don't want multi millions...just enough to be debt free, money for retirement, medical and for charity!
Good Luck!

Nice breezy day for a walk!

Thursday, March 01, 2012

It's such a nice day for a walk in the park but the neighborhood boys are still playing football in the field in the middle of the park. It would be ok if they were considerate of the jogger/walkers that use the path but I've been hit on the head with the football, hard too many times for comfort!

I don't think it's fair of them to be so inconsiderate. After all, they don't lose anything if they wait for the walker/jogger to pass by before kicking the ball! I'm not saying they can't play at all, but they should have a care for other people!

I still can't believe these boys get away with this! That's awful! Is there anyway to have law enforcement talk to them about it!?
Take care! emoticon

I have the same problems but with dogs on the lake where I live, won't walk alone, because am scared of dogs!!!, why they can't keep them in, and take them a walk when they come home from work. I guess walking with a bike helmet would look a tad silly lol!! But very inconsiderate of them!!!

I saved RM3 because of McDelivery!

Tuesday, February 28, 2012

I called McDelivery for a chocolate shake, bcoz I've been craving one for days! They said they did not delivery shakes (it was a hot afternoon at that time), so I changed my order to 2 sundaes, one strawberry (my fave) and one hot fudge (for my Mom, I was feeling generous at that time). Plus the RM3 delivery charge and it was close to RM10!

Well, they said they'll be there in 30 minutes, but after waiting 1 and a half hours, there was still no sign of the delivery boy! So, I guess they have forgotten my order.

The nearest McD's is a 30 minute walk from where I live, so I decided to get some exercise with a chocolate shake as a reward! Well, I got my shake and had another 30 minute walk to get home. So, I had 60 minute walk and I saved RM3! Neat, eh? Oh, and I also got my shake in the end! lol!
