I'm just so tired today! (yet again)

Monday, February 20, 2012

I'm usually tired every Friday (3rd and final dialysis day for the week), but it's only Monday today, and I feel so tired. I always enjoy racking up sparkpoints but today, I just don't feel like it!

Good night SP! I think I'll go read something then sleep..........

What happened to my willpower?

Sunday, February 19, 2012

I haven't really sweated in weeks! I don't deny that when I get a good exercise session, usually with an exercise DVD, I feel good afterwards. After I've had my bath that is. Exercise really does things to your endorphins!

But these few weeks, I've just been so lazy, preferring to have a slow stroll around the park or the neighborhood! There is a nice breeze most days before the rain. Plus, I've been having slight twinges in my right knee. I'm afraid that if I do a dance DVD, I might really sprain my right knee.

But I've gone on too long without sweating. Oh well, I'll just have to force myself to do a DVD this Tuesday when I get my first break of the week from my dialysis schedule!

I have taken a few days' hiatus from exercising, too. It feels good to exercise, though. I hope to get back at it soon.

It's okay to walk for your exercise, but you might have to change up your pace (not just a leisurely stroll) and stay moving longer. Most of my exercise is in the form of walking.

It's good that you are wanting to get moving again. Once caution, if your knee is bothering you then go get it checked out by the doctor to make sure it's okay. There are low impact things you can do to make out sweat and workout. Do you swim? It gives you a great overall workout.

You may not be doing what you really want to do,,,,but you are moving. That's a plus.
You are not lazy just un motivated. Why did you start exercising the way you used to do? What will get you going again? Just a few questions to ask yourself. YOU did it before and YOU CAN do it again. One day at a time. Take care and don't be so hard on your self.....that only leads to a downward spiral. emoticon

Picked up a good book for 70% off!

Saturday, February 18, 2012

Yesterday was the start of the members' only booksale at MPH (I'm a member). I managed to find after relentless searching at the 70% off bargain rack, a good book : Rachel and Leah, a dramatization of the short passages from the Bible. It looks good and thick and I'm looking forward to a good read!

But, I had a peak at the end pages and I found out that the book I bought was only Part 1! Drat! Part 2 is called "The Wives of Israel"! Shucks!

I'll let you know how good it is when I've read book 1!

They sell wraps at my local supermarket now!

Thursday, February 16, 2012

I found them! Soft tortilla style wraps in my local supermarket! They are quite good! I filled them with one large lettuce leaf, one slice of turkey ham, one slice of cheese, 2 slices of cucumber and a bit of fresh tomato and rolled it up! Delish!

I tried the wholewheat wrap, they have original, garlic and I forgot what the other variant was. But I chose the wholewheat one because it was the healthiest! (I guess). A bit hard to roll up thought, a bit too soft. Or maybe I had too much filling............

Now they even have wholemeal paus!

Wednesday, February 15, 2012

A Pau is a basically a chinese bun. I bought 2 wholemeal paus! One filled with corn custard and one with a local egg jam called kaya. It's basically caramelized eggs with screwpine leaves and coconut milk cooked till thick and creamy!

Yum! I just love the custard one! The kaya one was good too! And only for RM1.20 each!
