A MAJOR milestone acheived! (well, almost)

Hey friends!

Remember me going on and on about the miniskirt I wore when I was 18, well, 2 of my smallest miniskirts to be exact. I tried them on today and even though they were a little tight, I managed to zip up!

I still have a way to go though, I have to lose some belly fat so I can fit into them comfortably. But the crux of the matter is, THEY FIT!!!! Yipppeeee!!!!

Who says it's impossible? I'm almost there! I'm almost at my 18 year old size! I believe it can be done! And I'm almost there.........

stupid flu!

Hi, I haven't been really active with the exercise because I've got a nasty flu. Thank God I'm not coughing up phlegm but my nose is stuck and keeps producing mucus. Urrrghh!!! I just feel like sleeping the whole day.

This is such a shame because I was really getting gung ho about the exercise, and then I get blasted with this nasty flu! sigh! I am feeling better tho, after suffering for 3 days. I hope I kick it off tomorrow.....then it's back to the exercise. I'm resting right now tho.....

I have a few philates workout DVDs and I love them all! I have a pretty challenging one by Shape which I thought was too advanced for me, I did it a few hours ago and I could do most of the moves. The only one I didn't do were the pushups because they involve putting my entire weight on my hands and that is not a good idea. It's because my fistula is in one hand. I have to be very carefull with my arms because I need it for my dialysis treatments.

Still not much success waking up early in the morning for AM exercise. At least now, I can hear the alarm at the appointed time but unfortunately, I still lack the willpower to spring out of bed raring to go....sigh! I just don't feel like exercise in the morning, I usually do it in the evenings.....and Sparkpeople keeps saying that AM exercise is the way to go. Well, there's always tomorrow.......

Managed to get more exercise in today

I did 90% of a complete workout because I was working out using the PC and it froze when the workout was almost at the end. How frustrating! I went out for a walk outside and found an abandoned kitten.

Thankfully I found a cat lover who decided to take it home just when it began to drizzle. Well, I guess I have to go back to the 6am plan again if I'm going to use the more reliable DVD player and TV downstairs!

Now, if only I could spring out of bed raring to go instead of groaning and reaching for the covers............

For the record, sometimes I manage to wake up early to get my walk in, sometimes I don't. By 8am, the famous hot Malaysian sunshine is almost at full heat, so if I don't get up by 6.40 the latest, I can forget about walking in the park. On the days when I can't get up ontime, I make sure I'm up by the the latest at 9am and do a workout DVD instead.

Actually, I prefer those DVDs because I work up more of a sweat than on my walks and it takes the brainwork out the workout, I just follow the DVD and I'm almost guaranteed a sweat. Sometimes, when I can't do my workouts in front of the TV, and I have to make up my own aerobic steps, I find it hard, I'd rather follow a DVD.

Have you ever tried Realplayer? It's great, now if I can't get the TV and DVD player downstairs (my entire family are TV addicts), I just use realplayer on my PC. Yup. I've turned my PC into a temp TV when I need it. Forget Dell Cineplayer and Microsoft Media player, waaaaay too sensitive, as bad as a sensitive DVD player, and I only buy original workout DVDs. What gives?

Anyway, after doing a DVD 3 days in a row, I've decided to give my muscles a break today to allow them to mend, I've been a little sore for days now. But the fight goes on tomorrow onwards, will it be jogging and walking in the park, or a workout DVD. Either way, I WILL get my am exercise in!

    Great job getting your exercise in! I am the same way - I would rather do a dvd because I can mindlessly follow along and get a good workout. I do step aerobics. When I can't do it in front of the tv, I just put the dvd in my laptop computer. You can also do workouts from right here on SP. When I don't do dvd's I run on my treadmill indoors.
