They sell wraps at my local supermarket now!

Thursday, February 16, 2012

I found them! Soft tortilla style wraps in my local supermarket! They are quite good! I filled them with one large lettuce leaf, one slice of turkey ham, one slice of cheese, 2 slices of cucumber and a bit of fresh tomato and rolled it up! Delish!

I tried the wholewheat wrap, they have original, garlic and I forgot what the other variant was. But I chose the wholewheat one because it was the healthiest! (I guess). A bit hard to roll up thought, a bit too soft. Or maybe I had too much filling............

Now they even have wholemeal paus!

Wednesday, February 15, 2012

A Pau is a basically a chinese bun. I bought 2 wholemeal paus! One filled with corn custard and one with a local egg jam called kaya. It's basically caramelized eggs with screwpine leaves and coconut milk cooked till thick and creamy!

Yum! I just love the custard one! The kaya one was good too! And only for RM1.20 each!

A Nice V-day all by myself!

Tuesday, February 14, 2012

Who says you have to be part of a couple to enjoy V-day! Granted, you can't finish those feasts for 2 that the restaurants have but you can order a smaller portion! Oh yeah, I was supposed to go with my girlfriend but she had plans to go fishing with her husband instead, so I ended up going to the mall alone..........

I went to the supermarket, bought some sushi for my lunch but went to sit down in Popeye's and ordered a small order of cajun fries! So yummy and fresh and only RM2.35! I actually wanted a large order but contented myself with a small order, less fat! Less Calories!

The sushi came with enough wasabi to make my ears and eyes water, so, I'm happy!

Then, I went to Evita Peroni and bought the hairclip I've been after for ages! I initially wanted 2 colours but settled for one, my favourite colour, beige. Evita is expensive!

Then I went to a hair accessory stall and bought one big flower clip, 3 bejewelled (not real jewels, mind you!) hair sticks, a chignon maker, and a chignon decorating clip! All for RM34! And that's after a 30% discount! It was all together initially RM48!

I'm so happy now! I can't wait to decorate my hair!

I'm so excited about tmrw's shopping trip!

Monday, February 13, 2012

I'm going out with a girlfriend tomorrow. We're just going to get some lunch and I'll be getting a hairclip that I've searched and searched for but never found except in Evita Peroni. So, that's where I'll be going.

I want sushi and my friend wants a burger but I also really want some cajun fries from Popeyes. So, guess what, I'll be going to the supermarket to takeaway some sushi, my friend will go to McD's to takeaway a burger and we'll sit down in Popeye's, order some cajun fries and eat our lunch! Brilliant, eh? Killing 3 birds with one stone! LOl!

I'll let you know how it goes tomorrow!

I don't think it's fair to the people who use the jogging track!

Sunday, February 12, 2012

I live in a suburb. In the middle of the suburb, we have a park. It has a field in the middle with trees around it with a jogging track around the field. Lot's of people in this neighbourhood use the jogging track to jog, run or walk for exercise.

Only there are this group of boys who use the field in the middle to play football. And they don't care who they hit with their footballs! I've been hit in the head like 5 to 6 times in total, not counting other parts of my body. It hurts and it's such a shock to my system!

There I am, just walking and minding my own business when this football slams into my head! Can you imagine how distressing and dangerous it is. What if an elderly lady or gentleman is hit in the head with their football and passes out!? Who's going to be responsible?!

I feel that they boys are not blind and should use their eyes to make sure no one is around before kicking the football. This way, everyone can use the park, as it is, I dare not walk in the park anymore! It just isn't fair!

Who is control of the park under? Is it under your town supervision, or dept. of parks, or who? At least advise them what is going on, just in case someone does get hurt, and then they won't be able to say they didn't know anything about it. Send a letter, keeping a copy for yourself, call, and record the day, time, and who you talked too, whatever you can do. Do you know any of the boys so you could talk to him or them, and ask them to be a little cautious when people are walking? Is there a pond near-by so when you get hit with the ball again, you can throw it in there??? Good luck!!! Someone has to begin to teach kids respect because too many of them aren't getting taught at home. emoticon

The title of your blog caught my attention. Sorry to read about your problem, I don't know if I'd have the courage to catch the football and keep it but I like the suggestion. I hope things change because I'm sure you aren't the only person who has been hit by the ball. Maybe posting a sign on the track or just avoiding it is the best possible solution. Anyway. good luck and have a better week.

I really feel for you. Parents these days are not raising their kids to be aware of anyone except themselves. I don't suppose there's anything that will get these kids to change... you'll just have to be more aware, when they're out there playing football. (At least they're outside playing, not inside doing video games. Or busy vandalizing anything.)

I understand totally. In this time frame, kids are very self centered and think only of themselves. The only thing I can say is
to be doubly aware when you walk.

I feel for you sweetie, but the kids these days have no respect for themselves let alone how to respect others (((hugs))) xx
