Today must be my lucky day! :)

Tuesday, December 20, 2011

I went to my hairdresser to trim my fringe, it was getting over long and poking my eyes, causing me to rub them unnecessarily coz it itches. He told me earlier the fee for fringe trimming was RM10. I've already gone to him twice for overall trimming, which cost me RM65 per trim.

He's a little pricey but the cut is good. I've decided to just let my hair grow for at least six months before the next trim.

Anyway, back to today, he trimmed my fringe nicely, but when I went to pay him, he said it was free! That's why I said today is my lucky day! I bought myself some coconut jelly and some snacks with the money I saved. I also bought a chicken and mushroom bun. I had RM3 left over and I put it in my dialysis centre purse in case I need to pay for my own lunch next time.

I feel so good! My hairdresser is sooo kind!

P.S. Loved the character of Eowyn in Peter Jacskons' films... a very strong, independent woman! Nice choice!

One of those days again.....

Sunday, December 18, 2011

I find it really hard to explain what I mean by that, so I'll just give it my best shot......

I felt blue, just plain blue, and nothing I did would chase it away, it was like this black cloud hanging over my heart. I took my simplest cross-stitch project (a little bookmark for someone's birthday) and started stitching away at the coffee table while my Dad watched "The Quantum of Solace" (I thought I'd have company and feels so alone by doing it downstairs) but still, the blue feeling persisted.

I'm glad to say that I don't feel blue right now but I felt it this afternoon. I felt terrible. Any suggestions how to chase the blues away?

Time flies when you're cross-stitching!

Saturday, December 17, 2011

I had a nice quiet time sewing today, cross-stitching to be exact. Except I've finished the cross-stitching part. I'm now just doing the outlines, next, I'll have to do the background text.

If you want to see how it looks like, go here :

It's a very time consuming project. Once I start sewing, the time just flies. It's a very nice hobby if you've got lot's of time. Atm, I'm trying to find a part-time job but everyone seems to want a full time employee which I can't cos I'm on dialysis. I sure hope I find something by January!

I'm also thinking of ordering this :

My Mom says I'll go blind cross-stitching! Lol! But I enjoy it soooo much!

Oh wow, that is fantastic! You're braver than I am! I have a few projects on the go, mostly birth records for family and the one I'm working on trying to finish right now was a bigger job than I had intended! I'm done the major part and just have outlines to do too. Keep up the great work - it keeps your hands and mind busy :)

That does look like it could have been a time intensive project but it is absolutely beautiful. Are you making it for someone? If so - lucky person.

I have not cross stitched in years but I used to love it.

Take care and again - beautiful stitchery.

I like to cross stitch also, and find it pretty relaxing. However, I look forward to the outlining part! I really feel like that is when the project gains life! My favorite things to stitch are winter scenes! Do you frame your own works? I have done both, my own framing and professional framing. I have to say, the last thing I got framed the cost had gone up so much, I will probably have to go back to framing my own stuff.

Wow, I can totally admire your work. I like to sew and make things, but I don't have the patience for cross stitching! emoticon

Too many rainy days........

Thursday, December 15, 2011

It's been raining practically every evening. I can't go for my usual walks in the park in front of my house. I'll have to see if I can do my new Booty Barre workout this weekend. I bought it like 2 weeks ago but I haven't tried it yet.

I watched it once when I first bought it. Looks like a very hard and good workout. I'll have to make sure my right knee is up to it. I sprained it recently. I guess I'll try it out for the 1st time this weekend if my knee's ok.

If your photo is current one, you might get some opinions of trusted friends and family. You might not have a belly roll at all but just the "pooch" that comes from muscles relaxing which they have to do when you sit. Be sure and have an accurate body image!! It is something we all struggle with no matter what our body looks like!

They say you have to do more cardio to lose the body fat. OR.. you could use an Ultimate Body Applicator to tighten, tone, and firm the area. Easy to apply..you measure first, apply the applicator..wait 45 min., take it off and remeasure. With regular weekly applications they will help tighten your belly roll. itworks.net/annbradley Cheaper than lipo or tummy tuck!

I wish I had the answer as well. When I was 280lbs then went down to 170, I still had my belly all hanging out. It's my first place to put it on and last place to lose. I've been doing crunches and cardio lets see what happens. emoticon

I wish there was a way to target the belly roll but unfortunately there isn't. The gut is my major problem too.

I do not know any way to get a flat belly right now it only comes with hard work and time plus genetic being on your side. If you find another way let me know.
