The next blood test is next week!

Wednesday, October 05, 2011

I'm kinda worried because I haven't been a paragon of control. Though I have been limiting my protein/phosphate intake, I also have been less vigilant than when the doctor first warned me. I'm a dialysis patient and I really have to watch my fluid, phosphate, protein, potassium, calcium & sodium intake.

Yeah! I'm kinda mad with the calcium though. Most ppl are encouraged to take more but because I'm on calcium carbonate for phosphate blocking, I have to lower my calcium intake as well! It isn't fair! Normal ppl are actually encouraged to drink more but I have to limit myself to little sips!

I keep wondering why a good God can allow me to go through all this! I'd give anything to be a normal, average, middle-class, working girl, instead of being a dialysis patient with nothing but a meager disability pension.

life throws us mad things to test us, unfortunately this is just one of the harder things you have to control in life.
I can't speak from personal experience but i know people who go through dialysis and it's such an unfair thing to have to do but i hope you stay strong and be as on top as you can!

Sometimes I wish I was Japanese!!!!

Tuesday, October 04, 2011

I just love Japanese food! I often wish that I was a Japanese in Japan so I can eat Japanese everyday! Whenever I have spare cash, I will go to my favorite Japanese restaurant in the nearby mall. It's a little pricey though. So I can't go crazy and order excessively. I only order conservatively so the bill won't come to so much.

I wish I had a huge regular paycheck so I can indulge more often and more! Sigh!

My son is living his dream of studying abroad in Japan right now! Right now he's getting used to the food but by the time his year is up, I'm sure he'll LOVE it, too. emoticon

I love Japanese food too... I love all kinds of food (maybe that's why I weigh so much lol!). Japanese food is great for you, though, with the tofu and all the fish. Good for you for having healthy indulgences! emoticon

    I wish I spoke Japanese.

I work for a Japanese company. It's common for new employees to be encouraged to try new foods while in Japan that most westerners don't like! Boys will be boys. If I ask what it is, they always tell me it's chicken. emoticon

Yesterday was my lucky day!!!!

Monday, October 03, 2011

I phoned the bookstore on Saturday. They said they had one hard cover set of the Percy Jackson books left. I asked them to hold it for me, promising to drop by on Sunday (yesterday).

Well, they called me back after 30 minutes saying that that the hard cover set was 'damaged' and that 'they couldn't sell it', and recommended that I get the 4-book paperback set (the complete set is 5 books).

Well, I did drop by yesterday and actually bought the paperbacks and was heading to another bookstore to get the final book, when a thought occurred to me, maybe the box was damaged, but the books were fine!

So, I asked to see the 'damaged' set. Well, the box did have a tear at the top but the books were fine! I asked if I could get a discount, they refused but I got it anyway! Who cares about the box?! It's the books I'm after!

I got it for a bargain price as this shop only stocks overprinted books, therefore it's a lot cheaper if you get it here than elsewhere (where they sell at normal retail price)!

Thank God for the tear in the box! Otherwise, I wouldn't have gotten my Percy Jackson set!

I'm so disappointed with myself!

Friday, September 30, 2011

Not only have I put on half a kilo, I don't even have the willpower to get up early in the mornings to exercise. I've been trying for so long to wake up early to go for morning walks, but it's just not happening! When the alarm goes off, I just shut it off and go right back to sleep, why do I feel so tired in the mornings?

On the other hand, I'm really active in the evenings and nights. I've tried going to bed early but I just can't drop off to sleep till much later. The result, I can't wake up early the following morning.

I just don't know what to do!

I agree with JILLTBNAGART - if your energy level is high at night, that is the best time for YOU to workout. You'll probably get more out of it.

There are lots of us out there. I workout after work and in the afternoons on my days off. It takes time management, but my body doesn't function as well early in the morning.

If your up at nights, then exercise at nights. You might not be able to walk outside but you could do a DVD or something else. Why fight what your body wants? Exercise is exercise at any time of day. DO NOT let anyone fool you. Afternoon or evening evercise is just as good!!! Maybe better if you actual do it.

feeling very tired after dialysis. I don't feel like racking up sparkpoints today. Maybe tomorrow I'll feel better after I've had a good night's (and part of the morning's) sleep!

So, I'm posting this blog for the heck of it. Incidentally, I just discovered how useful the online version of the ESV study Bible can be! But you don't get access unless you buy the print version first!

That online Bible is so cool, I'd go there again tonight if I wasn't so tired. Oh well, back to the print version before bed tonight.

Goodnight everyone!
