New Haircut!!!! Sept 24th

Saturday, September 24, 2011

Hi all!!!!

Here's a pic of my new haircut, I was too excited to put on any makeup! I was just so excited to show you my new style! But the hair stylist said I have to blow dry it after every shampoo!

I especially like the fringe! So stylish! Oh, and it was cut by a professional, costs an arm and a leg but I'll leave it till after Christmas for my next cut. If it costs this much to get a good cut, then I'm only visiting the salon once in 6 months!

Cheerio!
Elaine

a good thing about getting it cut well is that you shouldn't have to go get it cut as frequently. It looks very cute :)

Bad News! Very Bad News!!!!

Friday, September 23, 2011

The doctor came to the dialysis center today and actually increased my dry weight to 56.5kgs, as opposed to 56kgs previously!!!! WT*!!!!!

Why does my weight keep going up. I remember when I first lost weight, I was 54kgs! What happened? I'm really depressed right now! Especially so since I've been trying to increase my strength training!

ARRRRGGGGGGGGGHHHHH!!!! Can I say it again?! ARRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHH!

When the going gets tough, we do what we must. You have the strength to deal with this. You have dealt with worse!

A bit of roast duck!

Thursday, September 22, 2011

OMG! I didn't know roast duck (chinese style) was sooooo high in fat! I added like close to 150 grams of fat for a small serving! I won't indulge so often the next time! This is the first time I'm seriously tracking roast duck and it's shocking how 3 small pieces of roast duck can have more than 120 grams of fat!

Who knew?

That seems like too much for that little bit of food. Are you sure that wasn't the whole duck? Duck has a lot of fat but that seems too extreme. I guess I wouldn't make a habit of eating it. lol. I'm still struggling with tracking but will try again tomorrow. I think I have to break this pattern and SOON! I will attempt again tomorrow. Hope you have a sparked day tomorrow and over the weekend! emoticon

Food! Food! And More Food!!!

Tuesday, September 20, 2011

Well, my Aunt from England just arrived last week for a 5 week visit. But she'll be travelling around Malaysia half the time, I think. She's just gone out for a day trip today. But since she's arrived, my whole family has been treating her to trips to restaurants and we've been eating very well, to put it mildly.

I'm kinda worried that I'll be putting on weight by the end of her stay of 5 weeks. Not to mention, the excess fluids I'll be taking in, it's important to me as I'm a dialysis patient. For the past few days, we've just been eating the best foods in Malaysia! And my aunt doesn't even care if a food is fattening or not, she, well, she just doesn't care! Help!

Just be careful to be vigilant with your dialysis criteria and the rest will be okay.

I am put in this situation regularly. Try to choose the lightest options you can find. I know it isn't easy to eat well when dining out. I hope you don't have too many troubles. Good Luck!

Playing Nurse

Thursday, September 15, 2011

Both my parents are sick. My Dad lost a lot of weight in a short space of time, so, we're pretty worried. He has some kind of medical test this coming Monday, so we won't know for sure until then.

My Mom is so sick that she's refusing food (no appetite) and she's too giddy to drive. I pray that nothing is serious with them but I can only pray and play nurse right now.........
