You know, sometimes, during weekends, you just gotta nap! I napped for almost 3 hours this Sunday. I was reading for like half an hour but I just felt I need to nap, so I did. By the time I woke up, it was like 7.10pm, I laced up my shoes and went for a 40 minute walk/jog.
All in all a relaxing Sunday!

I got a little extra money today, so I was thinking of McD's or delivery pizza. But my Dad got home just in time and refused to eat out.
So, I opened a can of sardines in tomato sauce, added the juice of 2 limes, sauted an onion and we ate it with scrambled eggs and fried rice from breakfast that my Mom fried earlier.
We are now full and the sardines were so yummy! with the lime juice added in!

I was very upset at the dialysis center today. It was a public holiday today. I turned off my mobile phone the previous night to charge it. As a result the nurse couldn't contact me early this morning to tell me to come earlier.
As a result, when I reached the dialysis center about 11.45, I was told I have to wait a little longer because the only available place was already promised to someone who was coming at 12pm. I was fuming by the time they let me in at 12.35pm.
Well, they put me right across an old lady who also came late. She started at around 1pm. Here's where God works, toward the final half hour of the old lady's treatment, and my final minutes, I noticed that she looked very pale, I waved at her, but she didn't respond (she usually does), suddenly, her hand (the dialysis hand) flopped down to her side, and her head lolled over to the side too, I yelled for the nurses, saying that I thought something was wrong. Sure enough, she had collapsed, if I was even a little earlier, I couldn't have helped her, but I was there for a reason. So, I guess, God put me where he put me to help her today! I'm glad I was late after all!

Or in my case today, hash browns.
I hate deep frying, it's messy to clean up and takes so much effort. Well, today I thought : if you can pan-fry steak, why can't you pan fry fish and chips? If it works, I'll be using much less oil and lessen the probability of being scalded by hot oil
And you know what? It worked! I got my perfectly fried fish (frozen) and hash brown using a lot less oil! This is the way I'll prepare fish and 'chips' from now on!

It all started 2 Fridays ago. On the following Monday, I owed the machine 1kg, on Wednesday 0.7kg, and on Friday, 0.1kgs. I tried and I tried to limit my fluid and food intake but today, which is the next Monday, I still owe the machine 0.8kgs.
I'm a dialysis patient and owing the machine any amount of water is bad news. Today was partly my fault too, towards the second hour, the nurses decided to stop my treatment for a while because my blood pressure was a little low.
As always, I was concerned that my treatment would end up being longer, so I protested. Then, the nurse decided to start my treatment again. Towards the 3rd hour, I started feeling uncomfortable. So I had to stop my treatment a for a while anyway and my target was reduced, that's why I ended up owing the machine so much (800 grams = 0.8kgs).
Well, I've learnt my lesson, the next time the nurses want to do anything regarding my treatment, I'll just keep mum.
