I really need to get serious!

Sunday, August 14, 2011

Some people might think I'm at a healthy weight but when I feel my belly roll, I don't think so......... I just feel fat!

So, I really need to push myself to get serious with the exercise. As for the food, I do try to keep to a healthy range whenever possible, but I do have my weaknesses and allow myself a small treat now on then.

My belly roll is so obvious that some ppl have commented I need more crunches. We all know that it's serious cardio I need. Well, I will have to try to squeeze in more exercise DVDs into my week!

Watching the carbs helps me with that but my roll is still pretty big.

I Give Up!!!

Friday, August 12, 2011

I've been trying and trying to keep my weight down (I'm a dialysis patient, I don't urinate as much as a normal person does) but I keep on having to extract 4kgs or at best 3 point something kgs!

What can I do?! Stop drinking altogether?! The wheather is sooooo hot, I just need my ice-cold water! I love drinking water! I wish I had the problem of hating drinking water! Then I wouldn't be in this predicament.

Fact : drinking more water is good for normal, healthy ppl but NOT for someone like me! I have to keep to 750ml per day and that includes 'other' fluids like fruit or soup. So, in actual fact, I'm only allowed to drink about 300ml water! Who can live on that?!

It's no point living like this! I want to die!

Wow, I'm so sorry, I don't think I could stand that. What about ice cubes, it would take longer to digest if you ate them one at a time instead of a glass of ice water?

You are definitely going through some extremely difficult challenges. I have no personal experience with this, however, I have known people who have. Eventually, new treatments and technology resulted in a successful outcome. I am in agreement with the previous statements. I do know that we are never given more than we can handle. I will pray that you find comfort and peace in the loving hands of our Father. emoticon
I wish you a speedy resolution.

Dialysis is certainly not a fun time. I don't know from personal experience, but I know alot of people who do. The only trick I remember any of them talking about was ice cubes....

My coworker's father sucks on ice cubes all day instead of drinking water... he says it helps and since it keeps his mouth busy, he tends to not think about drinking water.

I agree with REDSHOES2011 ... life IS so flippin unfair at times

Hey Sweetie, you don't want to die. You are having some difficult times and while I personally am not a dialysis patient, I take care of my Father and he is a dialysis patient. I know of the challenges you are going through. I will pray for you. Meanwhile, please smile.
Hugs to you.

Lot's of cheese crackers!

Saturday, August 06, 2011

I made lot's of cheese crackers for sale. I got the recipe from the net. But my aunt, who was supposed to sell them for me in the market told me that it wasn't up to scratch.

I spent more than 3 hours in total for this batch of crackers but she said they weren't tasty enough. I dumped an entire cup of cream cheese into the batter, I thought they were ok but this is my first business venture and it failed before it even got to the market.

I was just trying to get a little extra income by baking for sale. Guess I'll have to do more research, and taste more before I put anything out for sale.

On the exercise front, I finally took a 45 minute walk around the neighborhood park and roads. Then I did a little strength training. I'll have to do better next week, if I'm to be hot this August!

Did you get any other opinions? Maybe they weren't her cup of tea but others will like them.

Maybe she didn't want to bother with them. Were you going to be there with her to sell them? If you expected her to do the selling that may be the problem.

that's too bad! did you taste them first? Great job on getting some exercise in! You had asked on my blog what i did to lose weight. I counted calories and i did workout dvds. I started off with the 30 Day shred, then i did TurboJam, once i finished Turbo Jam i did TurboFire (which is a more advanced version of turbojam). I lost the most weight with TurboFire. Now i'm doing a hybrid of TurboFire and Chalean Extreme. If you're not familiar with those workouts check out Beachbody.com. I really like Chalean Johnson workouts, she makes it super fun and effective.

Durians Again!

Friday, August 05, 2011

I shouldn't be eating durians! I really shouldn't! Durians are poison to dialysis patients but they are so yummy! I wouldn't feel like a Malaysian if I don't eat durians!

Oh yes! The king of fruits! My Mom said around 9pm, let's go for some durians! My Dad was like : yeah! I was like : YEAH!!! So, we headed to the durian stalls in another suburb and it was packed with people eating durians sitting on plastic stools at plastic tables. RM10, eat all you can!

I was fortunate we didn't join the durian buffet, otherwise it could have been the death of me! Literally! Instead, my Dad spent almost a hundred Malaysian dollars on good quality durians.

They were yummy. But I hope my heart won't stop tonight!
