I made a wiser choice today!

Dear Friends,

I was thinking of going to McDonald's today for lunch because they had a special offer. RM5.95 for a medium McValue meal but I hesistated when I thought abt all the fat, sodium and chemicals (in the diet coke).

So, I decided to splurge RM12 instead on some chinese luxury porridge. Why luxury? (my own nickname for it). It's because of all the yummy expensive stuff they put in it, like mini abolones, dried scallop shreds and dried oysters.

I got like 9 little mini abolones, abt 5 dried oysters and dried scallop shreds mixed in the porridge. Yummy! Yes, I know, it costed abt twice more compared to McDonald's but at least I feel good abt myself, making a healthier choice, and the porridge was really yummy!

It was a good buy too, considering how much abolones, dried oysters & scallops cost. Oh, and another little titbit of news : I bought the InkHeart Trilogy! I can't wait to read it! Haven't seen the movie tho, but I'm sure I'll like the book better! (as in the Inheritance cycle, y'know Eragon, Eldest & Brisingr, book 4 yet to be published).

It seems like in most restaurants, the best "deals" aren't usually what is the best for us. I think it pays off in the long run to choose the healthier items, even if they cost a little more.

Hello peeps!

I know it's been a long time since my last blog post. I guess I should blog more, lol!

Well, many, many ppl have stepped up to me and commented that I look like I've lost a lot of weight. Well, when I first joined Sparkppl, I was abt 64kgs, now I'm abt 55.5kgs. Well, initially when I first started my dialysis treatments (way back in November 2004), I was abt 68kgs actually. So, I've lost abt 12.5kgs in total. That's 12.5kgs in 4 years, a little slow perhaps but I'm happy that I'm finally losing! But I'm not there yet, it'll be nice if I can be 50kgs.

Oh, for those ppl who count in lbs instead of kilos, 1kg is 2.2lbs, you do the math, I'm too lazy to do it for you! lol! In Malaysia, everyone if metric, and so am I! lol!

I have now got a new goal, at least 30 minutes of exercise 4 - 5 days a week AND I must sweat by the end of the workout! I just did 3 of Coach Nicole's workouts for a 30 minute exercise session and I sweated a little but I didn't have time to work out longer because I had a Home Fellowship meeting to go to (Home Fellowship is a basically a small group of Christians meeting together in someone's home for Christian stuff).

Even though I may have lost quite a bit of weight, I still have a belly problem, as you can see from my previous blog. My belly has shrunk a bit, yes, but I STILL have a belly. That's it, BELLY MUST GO!!!

Well, I'll save my ramblings for the next blog.

OMG! I HATE my belly fat!

Pls God, zap it off, pls!!!

But of course God doesn't work that way, we have to do more cardio to melt the belly fat!

I may be lighter now but sometimes I honestly feel the only solution is liposuction! But I refuse to do it because I may get scars and it is the easy way out, so to speak.

Sigh! anyone else have this problem!

OK, that's it, cardio, I don't care if I have to run all day!
Belly must go!!!

    I wish it worked that way too! That's were most of my weight is too . I don't think liposuction is the answer either. May be some muscle training for the belly might help

Yup! I'm now abt 55kgs! That's a whole 2 kgs lighter than the pics of me!

Yes! Not only did I get my old body back, I'm even healthier and fitter now!

I'm also full of energy despite my health problems!

Oh and btw, a pecto vegetarian diet high in natural fiber (read : vegies and fruits) REALLY helps too!

well, I've lost one inch off my waist! yippee!!!

I feel so happy and so thankful to have moved the scale or rather measuring tape, even if it's a little bit!

As for myself,,,I've been sort of yo-yo. I've been losing weight quite fast actually but I tend to snap at times and eat a bunch of chocolate and candy bars and then have to start over. Good news is that its happening less now.
