Oppssss! I think I ate too much!

Thursday, May 19, 2011

Oh No! It's only 3pm and I think I've overeaten. I woke up hungry and thirsty. I ate a sausage bun upon waking, around 10.30am.

Then I had a packet of instant noodles for lunch. Around 12ish. And then, around 2pm, I started feeling peckish and made a little meal, it was too big for a snack. I cut one potato into wedges, coated it with corn flour, salt & pepper and deep-fried it along with 2 fish nuggets, walla! fish and chips!

Most delicious! Oh! Naughty, naughty girl! lol!

Now, I gotta cut back when it comes to dinner today. We'll see.......

I had to stop by your blog because the other day I posted a blog with almost the exact same title!
Anyway don't stress it! Your fish & chips sounded soo good! Maybe your body was just craving the extra calories for some reason. I'm sure you didn't gain any weight today.. remember it takes 3500 calories over what we burn to gain 1 pound.
I hope you have a good rest of the day!

that happens to me often too. I think its a misscommunication between your thirst and your appetite. Instead of saying I need water it says stomach empty.
But still, no excuse for the fried fatty foods!!! haha..

cheers, your swede head hahah... emoticon

A nice Sunday outing!

Sunday, May 15, 2011

I was itching to get the original book by Neil Gaiman entitled "Coraline" after watching the charming stop-motion movie by the same name. Actually, I wanted to go the nearby mall to get it but there was no one to drive me there. So, I made up my mind to go today instead, except it's to a different mall.

I went to the first bookshop, which was having a sale but they were sold out. I then went to the big bargain bookshop upstairs. AND, they had multiple copies of "Coraline" in hard cover, it cost a little more but it's either I get the hardcover version or I get some paperback in a not so good condition, which still cost a little more than the one on sale (in the first shop).

I also bought another book of short stories by Neil Gaiman from the first bookshop. I also bought a cute little notebook to take sermon notes in. I got this at a discount because it was the last copy, it was actually the display copy. It was the last red one, and I wanted the red one, so I asked for a discount, as it wasn't pristine anymore but acceptable, it will lose it's pristine condition with frequent use anyway.

Um, speaking of sermon notes, I missed church today because I was stuck in the mall because it was pouring out there. I did want to go, but after buying the books and 2 bottles of shampoo, I didn't have enough transport money left, so I opted to go home.

As I didn't fancy walking to the subway in the pouring rain, I sat down in a cafe to wait it out. I ordered a slice of pecan butterscotch cake and a cup of Earl Grey Tea, which is why I'm still up though it's past midnight.

I should give myself a pat on the back though, I passed by McDonald's, and the temptation was great to get another coca cola glass but I passed, I don't think my body can withstand another 900 plus calories without expanding......

Broke but happy!

Thursday, May 12, 2011

The inflation in Malaysia is terrible! So much so, that a RM50 note won't take you far. I was at the supermarket today and bought some baby butterhead lettuce, some cherry tomatoes, some kiwis, some plums and some low-fat Italian salad dressing, and it cost me RM33! So, that my change was like RM17! Wah! What happened to my shiny new RM50 note!

But even though my wallet has now slimmed down a lot, I'm happy! As I now have ingredients for several salads and fruit to last like a week or so! (5 kiwis and 5 plums).

I'm particularly pleased about the salad dressing. I read the nutrition label, and it was very short, which means, natural ingredients. None of those HFCS or artificial colours or preservatives. And it was low in calories, sugar & fat. I'm glad I know how to read labels and adjust my choices accordingly!

A very successful grocery shopping trip, I think!

You made some healthy choices, regardless of the $$ situation. As you're eating healthy, then the less $$ you'll have to spend for medical.

Yippee!!! Finally reached my dry weight today!

Monday, May 09, 2011

Well, I got the shock of my life on Sunday afternoon. I was dreading weighing myself as I suspected that I was way heavy because I've been drinking like a fish because the weather was sooooo, freaking hot!

Well, anyway, I got on the digital weighing scale at home, and nearly fainted! I weighed 60kgs! After every dialysis, I need to get down to 56kgs, which is my current dry weight. That means I will need to extract 4.5kgs at present, which isn't possible because the max they allow in my dialysis center is 4kgs.

OOOOOhhhhh!!!! What am I to do?!! So, I ate a very small dinner and just stopped drinking water, but I did suck on some ice-cubes.

So, the whole of Sunday, I kept praying : "Lord, let me keep going to the bathroom and release some of that weight!" and he answered! Well after lunch today, I weighed 59.6kgs and after dialysis, I went down to 56kgs!!!!!

I'm so happy, I'm over the moon! After one week of owing some weight, I finally did it, now, on Tuesday, I have to control my fluids so I can have a successful day like today!

It's as hot as an oven here!!!

Sunday, May 08, 2011

Oh, Good Lord! I'll probably go insane without air-conditioning! Nearly a week without rain and the weather is scorching hot here! 35 degrees Celsius, the last time I heard the news!

I don't feel like exercising either but I guess I'll just have to get used to exercising indoors. Well, there's always tomorrow! My lips are cracking with the heat too! I wish I could soak myself in an ice-bath till the heat wave is over!

And unfortunately, I've been over-drinking because of the heat! I'll probably get a tongue lashing from my friend the nurse when I turn up for dialysis tomorrow........
