A success! And a new handbag!

Well, I've managed to cut back on food and snacks today without feeling super hungry. I've also kept within my allowed ranges for everything, except that I don't have enough folate, according to the food tracker but I do take Vit B supplements, so I'm not too worried.

Oh yeah! I took a short walk to the neighbourhood boutique to pick up this adorable sling bag! It's a sweet pink colour, it's a Hello Kitty sling bag! I know I'm in my late 30s but I still love entertaining the child within me! It's sooooo cute!

So, I guess the new bag is my treat for the month! Actually, I've had several treats already, the movie on Tuesday plus the popcorn, the ice-cream and float yesterday......Well, at least the handbag won't show on my hips/butt as the food treats possibly would.

But I'm not going to let that happen coz I'm putting myself back on track!

    I LOVE purses, some purses can hide hips LOL j/k

I lost last week and so I bought a new purse too. REWARDS are awesome aren't there. Just more purses less food treats. LOL

I started off so good today because of my good intentions to cut back today. I had the remainder of my summer salad greens with smoked salmon and a croissant for lunch. I woke up too late for breakfast today.

Then, when I got home I was super hungry. My Mom decided to treat the family to delivery pizza. 2 large pizzas for the 4 of us, we each had 4 slices.

Then, when I was about to go to my room to do my cross-stitch sewing, a friend of mine called and we went out for drinks, her treat. I ordered a humongous orange fizz float and a blueberry ice-cream!

Now, I'm not normally a sweets person but I like ice-cream. Oh! Good Lord, I'll have to cut back starting tomorrow. No more treats starting tomorrow! I've had several treats too many! (refer to previous blog)...............

I'm still in control! (despite today)

Well, I had a free day today so I went to see a movie, Black Swan. It's got an unexpected twist and it was quite good actually. Though it's not really my kinda movie, I'm just a Natalie Portman fan, to be honest.

Well, I had a not so healthy lunch, deep-friend soft shell crab with sushi rice and 4 pieces of inari sushi, along with cups of hot green tea. Then, I supersized my popcorn and iced lemon tea because it was so tempting (just spend a dollar something to get the bigger size) and the small popcorn looked puny.

I reasoned with myself, I want the popcorn to last till the middle of the movie at least, which it did, bcoz I ate very slowly and savoured each bite. I don't go to the movies that often anyway, so I thought, what the heck.

I made my own salad with greens, italian dressing and smoked salmon. The stuff I bought to make the salad is enough for 2 meals, so I ended up saving about RM24 as compared to what I would spend in for a single, oversized salad in a cafe.

The remainder of the salad and smoked salmon I'll eat for lunch tomorrow along with the croissant I didn't eat this morning.

Yes, I was naughty today but I'm not naughty all the time. I'll just get back on track tomorrow and onwards......

I feel like angels are watching over me today. I've never been below 56kgs after dialysis for a long, long time now. Well, today after dialysis and weighed myself and I was 55.8kgs!!!! How cool is that? Considering the fact that I entered treatment at 59.6kgs : quite heavy!

I'll do better from now on, I'll even try to be below 3kgs more on Mondays! Yeah! I can do this!

I had too much to drink this weekend. Hot ginger tea, cherry juice, lo han koh (some chinese herbal drink that cools you down, my mom made it).

I'm so afraid to weigh myself. I have made myself a promise to try to limit my fluids so I can bring my dialysis target down. Seems like I've broken my promise to myself.

    Every day is a new day. You can't undo what you have done. You always can move forward and improve. So, this week is not what you would have liked. There's still all the weeks in front of you. Start planning and thinking now about how you will make next week a success!
