I am sooo sleepy this morning AND the soreness from swimming found me in my sleep last night. My shoulders are a little unhappy with me. Oh well, ibuprofin is my friend. I gotta keep those shoulders strong and loose... I don't need any more surgery.

We are going to our last car function of the year this weekend. I was stoked to see that the lodge we are staying in has a pool that looks long enough to swim laps in and 22 miles of trails.

Goals for the weekend:
1. Only 2 alcoholic drinks a night (MAXIMUM)
2. Drink lots of water
3. At least 20 minutes of exercise both days
4. Not eat ravenously
5. Make wise food choices

I know I can do it. If I made it through last weekend eating sensibly, drinking lots of water, exercising both days AND NO alcohol, I can do it this weekend.

Have a safe weekend everyone!

A little activity....

Thursday, September 23, 2010

With the scale needle that is! WOO HOO! finally down a pound.

I worked hard for it though... 25 minutes of running and 25 minutes in the pool.

I am going on a short vacation this weekend. I'm kind of dreading it. I am finally getting back to a structured routine. I should not let this throw a wrench in the works, but sometimes being in a different environment throws me out of whack.

I packed soy joy bars for the weekend, so I figured if the club gets together and has breakfast, I can have a bar and order a cup of coffee and a bowl of fruit or something.

I need to do some recon on the state park we are staying at. I brought my swimsuit and goggles, but I'm not sure if they have a pool. If all else fails, I packed 2 days worth of running clothes and can hit the roads or trails if they have any (trails, not roads... I figure they have roads).

Couch to 5k planned again today. I want to complete the entire session this time, even if it means a long walk back to the car.

Happy happy Thursday!

Hump day

Wednesday, September 22, 2010

Wednesday... feels like Monday all over again.

I was wonderful to see my husband last night. I can't believe how much I miss him.

I am going to start doing couch to 5k again. I am starting in week 4 though. I don't think I need to start from the beginning since I can run continuously for more than 2 miles.

I think I am going to hit the cemetary again today. Even though there's no shade, there's also NO DOGS or cars.

Happy hump day!

Stagnant Scale...

Tuesday, September 21, 2010

I was really hoping for a loss this morning, but I stayed steady as I have for the last 3 days. I guess there is something to say for consistency.

I did the day 3 bootcamp workout after getting home from fire dept training night (a workout all in itself)... and I ran yesterday.

I am planning on bootcamp and running today, but my husband will be in town so the bootcamp may get put on the back burner for some quality time and the season finale of Warehouse 13!!

Have a tremendous Tuesday!

Monday, Monday...

Monday, September 20, 2010

While I'm waiting for my windows updates to download, I thought I would take a moment to blog today.

Its Monday, I'm a little tired, but not bad. I'm a little sore, but not bad. My tummy is bothering me... enough that I am afraid to go run in the near future, but I still have about 2 hours before I usually go. Hopefully the feelings will subside and I'll be good to go. I guess walking is always an alternative.

I dropped almost 5 pounds this weekend. A LOT of that I'm sure is my time of the month, but my body weight fluctuates so much, that I wouldn't put it past me if I regain it in the next couple days.

I was going to swim tonight, but forgot that I have fire department training this evening. Oh well. As long as I get my run in, I figure manual labor at the fire department is almost as good as swimming. I just don't know how to count it calorie/exercise wise.

My goal at lunch is to run 3 miles. 3 has been eluding me for some time now. Why? I don't know. I used to run 3 miles every day except saturays and sundays when I would do a long ride saturday and run 5 to 6 miles sunday. I miss those days. Pneumonia last summer didn't help me at all as far as stamina and endurance goes.

Happy Monday!
