I hope you all are having the mild winter we are so far. I've been enjoying the warmer temperatures lately. Although, the weather is predicting to be cold starting tomorrow and into the foreseeable future.
I went to the doctor yesterday. My doc won't and didn't do an internal exam unless they feel there's something wrong, so no checking for effacement and dilation until I go to the hospital in labor. However, upon external exam, they believe her head is down and VERY low in my pelvis, so they discussed what I should do should I go into labor as far as when to head to the hospital, etc.
For all you superstitious types, this Saturday night is a full moon and lunar eclipse... Hmmm.... :)
In case I hadn't mentioned it before, I go to a teaching hospital. I see two different residents who are both excellent. They decided, just to confirm the baby's position, to send me for an ultrasound tomorrow. I wasn't supposed to have anymore, so that threw up red flags in my head. I keep trying to tell myself that they are just being thorough and this is just for position confirmation.
The doctor estimated the baby around 7 pounds right now, but she said they are just educated guesses at this point without ultrasound or some other diagnostic.
I have gained *gulp* and I haven't made this public until now... 46 pounds. UGH. I keep telling myself its baby and fluid, baby and fluid... and I KNOW how to lose weight once I get the go ahead from the doctor. I want to lose a total of 57, since I was about 11 pounds over where I wanted to be when I found out I was pregnant. I also have a few fitness goals set - most notably, a half marathon in June. My goal is to FINISH it, not necessarily run the entire way, but complete all 13.1 miles. I thought about doing it with baby, but we will see how I feel about jogging with the stroller that far!
I know all my plans will probably get turned upside down in the next 2-3 weeks, but I figured I should start working on planning them now and revising them as need be.
I have started freezing healthy meals so that I am not tempted to have hubby pick up junk on his way home from work and fortunately there is no easy access to junk in relation to the house without driving quite a ways.
If I don't post again before then, Merry Merry Christmas friends!
Sending thoughts and love to all of you,

36 weeks and everything is still great. I go back Monday and hopefully they will tell me about dilation and effacement. She's still very active and I'm still carrying high, so I don't think we will have baby anytime soon, but just wanted to keep you posted.
I work my last two shifts on the ambulance Saturday and Sunday. I'm continuing to work my office job up until D-day since I can work from home most days. Although, I must admit, sitting in an office chair is pretty uncomfortable at this point.
Happy belated Thanksgiving!

2 more to go!y
Everything is still going really well. Had my 30 week check last Wednesday and the doctor said everything looked "perfect". I love it!
I can't believe how much I miss running, sparking, going to weight watchers, blogging, etc. I'm spending every waking second that I'm not working or eating (or resting!) trying to get baby stuff organized, stowed away, assembled, etc.
My husband is amazing, by the way! We were sitting in the nursery sorting baby clothes... okay, I was sorting baby clothes, he was reading diesel power magazine LOL and he looked at me and said "do you have your go bag together?" go bag? you know, the bag of stuff you take to the hospital? WHOA! holy proactive husband batman!! I guess I need to get on that while I still have time. He even made suggestions for baby clothes to take with and clothes for me to wear home from the hospital. I am so in love with that man! :)
Also, he sent me a link to a very slinky, sexy black dress yesterday to wear to the fund raising formal we go to every year for the autism society. What a motivator! I AM going to fit into that dress by July and look as good as the model chick! :)
He surprised me last night... I was still at work (LONNNNG day on the ambulance) and he texted and said he did 20 minutes on the stationary bike. YEAH! WOO HOO!!!! I was so proud! I can't wait to have a diet/workout buddy after Jane is born! :)
Have a great day everyone!

I'm six months today and still doing great. I go back to the doctor next Tuesday for my "end of the second trimester" check up. I believe she told me she was going to check me for gestational diabetes at that point.
Things are really starting to come into place... friends dropping off hand me down baby clothes, shower gifts arriving in the mail, etc. This child is going to want for nothing! :)
Thank you all so much for your comments, sparkmail, blog comments, etc. I really miss you guys/gals terribly and can't wait to get back to sparking! I have found that I enjoy the information on babyfit, but the meal plans on sparkpeople are more to my liking so I go between the two... also, I can enter my food on sparkpeople from my phone, so I don't really have an excuse not to eat right!
I need to get back to exercising. I've been on vacation and general super busy getting the houses ready for baby Jane. Afternoon fatigue is starting to set in again like in my first trimester, but our 1 year old puppy doesn't understand that and I really need to look to her for motivation! She's a bag of energy.
In other news, my husband had his flight physical and the doc told him that he's borderline high blood pressure. He wants me to help him lose some weight because he is not a pill taker. I figure it will be easier once the baby comes and I am losing at the same time. Of course, vacation and his hectic schedule being down one pilot (not anymore though!!) made it virtually impossible for him. He thinks not eating at the hospital and eating with his crew will help with his weight loss. I'm sure it has to be tough with 12 hour shifts, 3 of them being 7P to 7A.
Anywho, enough of the blah blah blah. :)
Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying this lovely cool weather... or at least the cool weather we've been having in West Virginia.
