I am going to try to put a positive spin on my frustrations.
-the weather turned back to snow... maybe the roads in Arthurdale will be plowed by lunch time for a run? Maybe I can finally set the bike trainer up and go for a spin?
-my back is still killing me (day 5)... maybe its a reminder that I need to get up in the mornings and stretch?
-I don't know what to do about my truck... maybe I need to call the bank and the amount of hoops they tell me I have to jump through will drive my decision?

ok, I'm done crying in my soup.

On a better note, one of my clients is a swimmer and a biker. I picked her up last night and we headed to the base for a swim. It was great to have someone else there in the pool with me. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy husby coming with me and its really all the motivation I need to go, but it was good to see another lap swimmer. We already have swim plans for Wednesday.

  Not sure where your pain is, but doing crunches really helps my lower back. I love how you turn the negatives into positives. It's what we all need to do. Happy Tuesday....I'll be praying for quick plowing for you!

    Well I'm gonna cry in my soup right along with ya!! Woke up to snow here too, (seriously need to move to Arizona where they don't have that stuff!!), I tweaked my back something fierce about 4 days ago during a workout (still killing), and....well I think that's about it, but thanks for letting me vent!! I hope you have a wonderful day, and I'm glad you put a positive spin on things, it reminds me to do the same :) Stay safe, and stay warm!!!!

I didn't have a lot to say except for reflection on my lunch time run... so I copied this from my blog on Daily Mile: (each of those times except for the last one are for .5 mile laps... the (w) denotes the laps that I had a 1 minute walkerval).

Holy cow! I guess a rest day IS helpful... Even with the 3 walkervals I was still at a 10 min/mile. I'm really okay with that. :)

All of my run laps were less than 5 minutes. Excellent. This is a lot better than I expected given all the variables and a great way to end the work week.

Deceptive weather

The thermometer says yes, the anemometer says NO. The temperature is great! Its February and in the 50s. 20-25mph steady with gusts up to 50mph... I really want to get another day outside before the snow starts again, but daggone that wind sounds bad. Maybe I will get my stuff together, drive to the park and make a game time decision. Its only about 3 miles from the house.

Ran in the park yesterday just shy of 3 miles. Kinda slow, but that's what I was hoping for. I added some hills into it.

I'm still sore. I think my body is having a bit of exercise rejection. I've been on vitamin I (ibuprofen) for the last 2 days. I hate taking stuff like that, but I also need to sleep... of course the husky dog takes care of the not being able to sleep by wanting in and out every hour or so through the night. I'm pretty beat this morning.

Doing well with my nutrition again today... gained a pound yesterday. I don't understand. Hoping its muscle, fluid, whatever. I know this isn't a great time of the month to be weighing myself anyway... if you know what I mean.

I am planning on running at lunch and spinning after work. I'm working from home again today. I have a meeting near husby's hometown tomorrow, so I'm going to stay up there tomorrow. He is terribly sick. He sounded so bad last night on the phone. I felt bad that I couldn't be there for him. :(

    Hiya xx Hope you had a greeat day yesterday. I wouldn't worry about the pound. I bet its muscle because it sounds like you have been doing really well with your exercise and nutrician.     Hope you feel better. I have been struggling with some weird stomache issues. No nausea just a lot of bloating and pain, etc.

  I was feeling the same way going into the weekend...I read a SP article on exercise fatigue and decided to take the weekend off. I'm going back into it slowly, but have done something everyday this week so far...and am feeling a lot better. You might want to think about taking a small break! Hope your hubby gets better soon!

    Don;t worry about the number...you are doing great. The pound could just be water retention from running. When I started C25K, the 1st 3 weeks I didn't lose. I took a week of due to bronchitis and lost 2.5lbs. Go figure. We all handle exercise differently, and the important thing is you are moving, not the number on the devilscale.

And 50s? Wow. We had -50windchills last night...... Haha....100 degree difference!!!

    Way to go on the 3 miles! You are doing great. Hope you get some exercise in today. Our husky is going nuts right now too. We bring her in at and she will hang out for awhile and then want to go play in the snow. Don't worry about the scale - doesn't sound like it is very accurate right now. Have a great day. Stay warm.

Home office setup complete

I have a dedicated workspace at home now. Planning on setting up the bike trainer after work hours and spinning tonight for my workout.

Still crazy busy, but wanted to check in.

Doing well with food. Have 9 things checked off my TO DO list... yes, friends, I made a list longer than 5 things. I still have 6 things on the list left (it is a dynamic list...).

Only food fault I've had today is I didn't eat breakfast, but I did have a cottage cheese and salad at 10.

Ok friends, be careful today. I know a lot areas including mine are supposed to get ice today.

    So does this mean you are getting to work from home more often? Sure hope so! Good job on the food choices. Like you, I've done pretty good today. Well....except that licorice, and probably not the toffee coated cashews, but other then that I'm rockin' it!!! HaHa!! emoticon
