I can only use the "I'm too busy to..." excuse so many times before it becomes my catchall for not taking care of myself... Lets see...
I ate terribly Saturday and Sunday, but got back on track yesterday and today... I guess I didn't eat TERRIBLY... breakfast and lunch were fine, but my dinners were a little more than what I should have. I went to a girl friend's bachelorette party and the only non-alcoholic drink they had was pineapple punch.... major calories.
I worked out Saturday (kick boxing and step aerobics) and was so sore on Sunday I couldn't do anything else. Ran and did strength training yesterday and am planning on running and biking today. If I don't get consistent, I will NOT be ready for triathlon season... I'm guessing I won't be where I was two years ago, but I can do MUCH better than last year. I probably won't compete in as many as I have in years past either, but my goal for this season is to have one good finish (finish, finish strong, feel good about my times).
Have a great day!

That's okay... I was totally bummed out by the weather yesterday and missed a lot of things. Didn't work out because it was 47 degrees and raining (but did do my strength training!) Positive self talk, right??
I took a nap, that was nice... woke up on the couch in the bf's office. He had let me sleep. He got off work early and we had a nice dinner together... I left food on my plate! No urge to "clean the plate" as I was taught as a kid!
I DID, however, have a chocolate covered pretzel... but just one! I then rested my eyes a bit after strength training while bf worked on the car, even gave him a little help with it... I can turn a wrench... with a little supervision and instruction! :)
No excuses today... its supposed to be in the 60s and sunny. We are walking after work, period. Nuff said.
Have a great day!

I slept better than normal last night... still up and down like always, but more down time than up time. Always a good thing.
I walked 4.5 miles yesterday with a girl friend. She's doing the "walk 100 miles in 100 days" challenge at the hospital she works for, so she and I walked yesterday and plan to walk tomorrow. Honestly, I can say I enjoy walking much more than running, but I know I need to keep running.
I have a pretty mellow day planned... of course that is ALWAYS subject to change. It is never a dull moment with the boyfriend!
play safe and dodge those raindrops today!

I actually ATE really well, this weekend... but I perhaps DRANK a few too many calories! :)
We went to Pittsburgh for some errands... it's all good. We stop at a friend's restaurant to have some lunch and talk. Turns out there was a bachelorette party happening while we were there and ended up partying with them! I met some really great girls and it sounds like we'll be going again to Pittsburgh next month so I can have girl's night out with them. They do it once a month.
Not trying to sound pathetic, but I don't have a lot of girl friends. Most of my friends are guys, mostly because of the industries I work in are rather male dominated. After getting separated and divorced, I am reminded how important girl friends are. While I enjoy hanging out with the guys, working on cars, watching football, etc. girl time is soooo important.
The best part is the new guy understands girl time and encourages it... completely different than what I used to have to deal with... but that is history! :)

I start the beginning of my roadtrip this afternoon with a short drive (about an hour or so) to the BF's house, then tomorrow morning we're leaving for Pittsburgh for the day. I am going to try to get up early to run or walk before we leave, but sometimes its just so tempting to be lazy!
We're going to eat at our friend, Geno's restaurant while we're there. I may have to endulge a little!
I'm looking forward to an entire day off! Working 80+ hours a week, a whole day is just unheard of!
Have a great weekend!
