Fall Fitness Challenge - October

The "Leap into Fall Fitness Challenge" came as a "gift", as I really needed to REALLY get back on track. I've been saying that I'm back on track since last August.

Now, it's time. No more excuses!

My goals for this challenge are:
1. Stay motivated!
2 Track my food intake... No exception!
3. Walk/ Run at least 3 days/ week - 30 mins in a row.
4. Go to a Zumba class at least 1/week
5. Strength training at least 2/week
6. Lose at least 7 lbs ( Oct. 6 to Oct. 31st)
8. Stay positive and less stressed
9. Not to let the cold weather defeat me!
10. Drink at least 8 cups of water or green tea/day
Extra! Find the time for and focus on what makes me happy; and taking care of myself. It's all connected!

    Those are excellent goals. I like the fact that you put in the extra one focusing on putting in time to focus on what makes you happy. That's very very important.

  Woah!! So many goals!! It's great to be ambitious! Stay positive even if you don't meet every goal all the time. I'm trying so hard to not be all or nothing!!

Back on track... Keeping my eyes on the prize!!

After 1 &1/2 month of visit from my family, I need to get back on track and focus on myself.

No diet, just a healthy lifestyle!

Since I joined Sparkpeople ( 04/15/13) I lost about 23/24 pounds. I stabilized since end of June, knowing that when my family will leave (july 31st) and I will then continue aiming for my ideal weight.

I am actually proud to have stabilized despite all the nice food we enjoyed.
I feel good and more confident with my current weight and I want feel even better.

The good news is that it is actually easier than it seems to maintain your weight ( at least for that short period of time).

The secret: walk from time to time and don't go over board with food.

Smokin Summer Body Challenge

Week 2 of the Smokin Summer Body challenge is ending tonight! (Organized by the Spark team "20 Somethings with 50-99 Pounds to Lose").

My goal for this challenge is to keep up, stay motivated all the way and manage my time so I can earn as much points as possible (and most of all exercise!!).

Overall goals for this period of time (2 months):
- Lose 20 lbs
- Fit in a size 10 (jeans)
- Streghten my arms and legs
- Flatten my belly
- Work out 3 to 5 times a week
- Lose between at 2500 to 3000 calories/week
- Control my food intake ( not easy with family and friends visiting + vacations but I WILL!)

Successful First Three Weeks!

Today is my official 21st day of diet and sparkpeople journey!

I'm amazed of how "easy" it has been to go down 11 lbs.

Walking and eating what I like while watching my calories have been my secrets.
I have stopped counting the diets that I have been on since my 13/14 years old (as far as I can remember). I never felt comfortable with my weight when I was 138 lbs at the time. Now, 100 lbs later I still don't feel comfortable but at least I know, with experience, that by going back to to least 180 lbs I will be delighted.

Sparkpeople is helping me figuring out what are my limits and be conscious of the impact of each food on myself (weight and figure).

3 weeks down, no major frustration, proud of myself and happy not to feel tight in my jeans anymore...

54 lbs, 6 months and 3 size to go....
