Got up early!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sunday, December 19, 2010

Early for a Sunday. Went to eat! Then on to Wally World! Got most all the rest of the presents, turkey and fix'ns!! Got home DH and I brought in the sacks! I started cleaning out the frig. Started laundry ( which I am still doing)! I got all the trash from Lillypad house, and around our house! Then I called the Son-In-Law and he came over and got the trash and put it in the dumpster! He needed some carpet to put under the Grandson new weight set!! I spent the afternoon paying bills , reconciling a friends check book (I get a free massage for doing her check book), worked on some other book work! Then I started dragging out Christmas gifts to wrap!! I got a few done before we went to eat! I think I will try to wrap a few more before bed time! No wonder I am tired!! emoticon
Enjoy your evening and have a fabulous Monday!!!!

Good Day!!! Early Anniversary!!!

Saturday, December 18, 2010

I got up and started moving furniture so we could get the china hutch and bookcase from Mom and Dad's in our house! We took one of the son-in-laws and a grandson out for breakfast and they helped us move the furniture and a freezer!! I started washing glass wear and putting back in the china hutch. Then I started putting my office back together . Well the little TV I had in there would not fit on the bookshelf! So DH said he was going to buy my a flat screen for my office for our anniversary next week. So we went to Sears and found a small flat screen with a DVD player in it! I can get videos to watch when I ride my bike! Now if I can just finish in the kitchen and dinning room!! I hope everyone has had a productive day!!!!!

Christmas Grinch!!!

Friday, December 17, 2010

I knew there was a reason why I did not get my shopping and wrapping done early-I heard on the radio this morning of a Wife and Mom that did have it all done and when she took her Child to the Dr someone kicked in the door and took everything! The radio station is going to be doing something for them and other who need help! This time of the year (really all year) we need to be safe and and watchful ( not fearful) but watchful!!!! Watch out for yourself, your family, your neighbors and friends!! It is about health and safety! I hope all my wonderful Spark Elf Buddies have a wonderful Friday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's so sad! That's the reason my mom would never set out any presents under the tree until Christmas morning. It's sad that this kind of thing happens...Christmas is a real desperate time for some people. Bank robberies go on the rise too, which scares me since I work at a bank. Sad times for some. I will pray for these desperate people as well as the poor family that fell victim. emoticon emoticon

I really don't understand why this kind of people can't just buck up! Especially with the economy as it is. There are far too many people that really work hard and long to make a great Christmas (the presents part, I mean) for their kids and family! Then for someone not willing to make that sacrifice, but steal someone else's is just UGH! Can't think of a printable word! So, thank goodness they will get some help and I DO hope they catch them. I like the snowdrift idea of SQUASH@34's!
Yes, we must be watchful and careful.
Merry Christmas and may we all have safe and happy times!!!

I have been robbed in the past twice, and I can tell you, there is nothing like it! You stop being the trusting person that you once were, and keep looking over your shoulder! The last time I was robbed, my little dog Petey was there, and I can only think that the reason he is alive today is because he hid! I feel for those people, and I hope that they catch whoever did this! There are alot of wonderful giving people in this world, and sometimes tragedy brings it out! Normandy

Sad that there are those that are out to spoil other peoples fun, so good that htey were not home and no one got hurt. Now hope they find the guilty ones and put them away so they do not do this to others. So very nice there are others that can help those in need.

This has happened here in Lubbock, TX, too! It was just on the news, and the surveillance cameras caught them! It was a couple stealing Christmas packages off the front porch! The couple were ecstatic to have found such "bounty" and loaded their car and left! They've since been identified and arrested, thank goodness!

It is shameful that there are always those out there that depend on others to do their shopping for them ... should be locked up in town square throughout the holidays so Santa can transport then to the North Pole and leave them in a snowdrift.

On a positive note, there are always those who will step in and help those who have lost their gifts to such a grinch.

Good and Bad Time of the year!!!

Thursday, December 16, 2010

I am having a really hard time with Mom being gone!! I have not had a problem this last two years!!! But the last two years DH and my Son working together and getting a long!! This year they had another huge fight!!! My Son is also not being very nice to me right now! I have not heard from him in over a week! I gave him his money from Mom's estate it was not much, but right now he does not need anything so I have not heard from him! I am sorry for being a Debbie downer, but I feel I can tell my Spark friend and they will not judge! My work buddy, family and friends here always take my side and that is not what I want!! Sometime you just need to vent!!! No one is in the right here and no is in the wrong! It is just a part of my life experience! I will be stronger for going through this and I know the Lord and the Angels will bring me through this just fine! Thanks you for listening!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I left DH in bed with a tummy ache this morning I hope he is better!!!
Now to happier things I hope to get furniture moved Saturday!! Dish and such back in the china hutch coming from Mom and Dad's! If that happens maybe I can get some wrapping and shopping finished!!!! I hope all my Spark Buddies are having a Terrific Thursday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Much love and many blessings to you as you deal with the challenges of your son and your husband. Some days (or weeks or situations) are just challenging. I am glad that you chose to vent here. Sounds like you are missing your mom and in need of a little female energy to balance out the strong males in your life. Hoping that you can find time with a friend or female family member.

Of course, we are here on Spark. Wish we were closer to sit and have a cup of tea and offer a hug.

Don't you worry about being a Debbie-Downer! We're your FRIENDS, that's what we're here for!!! Vent all you want honey!

Some years are just worse than others....don't be hard on yourself, it's completely normal to be missing her this time of year, and especially with your family fighting like they are. Your son sounds young and maybe is striving for his independence. Rest assured that he still needs his mommy!!! No matter how much he expresses it or not!

You're right, you WILL be stronger for going through this...you already ARE! God will never put us through more than we can handle. And our angels will be right here to help us along too! Keep the faith and know you will make it through this...even if we have to do it TOGETHER! HUGS!

You are certainly keeping busy! I am sure you will get it all done though - and hopefully have a chance to put your feet up...

I have posted my presents to interstate friends now, and wrapped up one for a friend I am meeting up with tomorrow. At home the house is getting a super clean, and that is taking up most of our time.
