I did not have a contract with the Dumpster People! What You want to bet that never happens again!! There are times it does not pay to be nice. The good ole boy system of the past where You trust companies on a verbal agreement are gone! The Guy who I was going to talk to about this is no longer there. So I guess I shut up and pay up! And never ever do such with out a contract again!

That answers my question. I was wondering if you had a contract. It is really too bad that guy didn't communicate to you that he was leaving. You certainly were a loose end and you paid for it. Sorry to hear what happened. I really hate situations like this. You think you have everything under control and then you get hit upside the head. It really hurts! Sally

Ooooo....ouch!!! Yep, I guess you gotta sign on the dotted line with just 'bout everybody, huh!? I am so sorry. Hope you got your sinus h/a cured. I usually take my antihistamine with a couple ibuprophen, It almost always does the trick for me! Nice of your MaryKaye lady to discount you in your bd month!! Yay you!! I had a bad feeling about today and did not want to get up!! I got the mail at the post office (weekend mail)! In it is a 330.00 bill for the dumpster I had put at My parents so We could clean out the house and garage!! I put it there in November and I ask repeatedly how much this would cost. I was told the only cost was 330.00 which I paid. My Grand Sons and I cleaned out the garage and the yard. My Sister and I cleaned out part of the house. I moved everything I was taking to My house. Then My Sister became ill and everything stopped. My Kids put some stuff in it. My sister moved and put some of Her stuff in it. Then two weeks ago I got a bill for 280.00 where they had started charging Me 3.00 a day! They did not call and say You have had this for awhile and We need to start charging per day they just sent a bill!! I told them I would pay it and to come and get the dumpster. Now I have a 330.00 bill for them picking it up and dumping it. I am so mad!!! I am going to call and see if My Mom former neighbor is still a partner in this company. I want Him to know how they are treating customers. And I will be bad mouthing them to everyone! Unfortunately they are pretty much the only game in town regarding trash service.

Did you have anything in writing? So many times these things can be prevented if what you had agreed upon is in writing. Doing business is hard for both the customer and the business. The customer wants service and the business wants to make money to provide for their families. So sorry this dumpster is costing so much! OUCH! Sally

They sound like so many companies today. Don't say how much they charge, or for what and then out of the blue you get a huge bill.

I'd be mad too! Just like companies that monopolize the market - stick it to the public knowing full well there's not much we can do about it. $330 That is crazy. I lived in MN for a year and a half. When I came back to Texas, my renters left behind a pile of trash in each corner of my house. They didn't even put in bags, just left the trash on the floor. It took me forever to clean that up. There were also motors left over. I met with the city on picking up all of this crap. I asked them if it would cost more. They didn't mention any dollar amount. What I did, was put out alot of trash, but not all of it at once. By doing this, I didn't have to pay any extra fees. On top of that, they didn't pay the light and gas bill. That is where I had to to pay about $500 to get the water turned on. What I had to pay for the trash, was not the amount of the trash, but the fact that no one payed the bill while I was gone, thus having to pay to reestablish my service. I had the same problem with the gas and the electric. On top of it all is was about $1000 total for everything. That $1000 sure would have helped me fix up my house.
